Classic Blitz Play!

If you enjoyed the first Blitz the league you will love this one much more. The graphics are not exactly next gen, but still look nice. The gameplay is great and targeting the specific area to hurt can be beneficial in a season (to take out that annoying quarterback or something.) The campaign can be fairly short and usually pretty easy until the championship game, but it is a blast. The weather can play a vital role in the game which is a nice touch.
This is not for hardcore madden players this is for Blitz players. This is an arcade style of football which is much more up tempo than madden or NCAA, and is 7 on 7 football instead of 11-11. Since madden bought out the licensing for the NFL there is no possible way that Blitz or any other game right now except madden can have NFL teams. That is why generic teams are generated, but it is no big deal because it is all about you in the campaign you make your team and your player.
All in all great game to play with a friend or online as solo play could get boring after you complete a campaign.

I just picked up my copy yesterday (11/5/08) so I really haven’t had a chance to play much. I’m glade I only paid half price for this game, would be very upset right now if I would have paid full price.
The slow motion effect in the game is cool but just not for football. I also don’t like the medic feature it has when it comes to dislocated bones and getting them back in place. I still haven’t played on-line yet. I was also expecting the NFL on this. Still need to play it more so I won’t say more. Would recommend to a friend but wait till it gets cheaper.

Very fun and diverse, injuries are fun to watch, but can get hard as the game progresses
