Q: Can i use this mobile with another network carrier?
A: it would have to be unlocked. This phone is for Boostmobile.
Q: Can I use the phone without adding minutes?
A: Yes, you can use this phone without activating or adding minutes. When you first power it on to use it, make sure you are where you can access a wifi connection. You will have to navigate through numerous screens to get past the activation stuff. You can use the phone for wifi things such as web browsing, email, Google Play apps, etc. There is a lot of Boost Mobile bloatware on this phone - and you won't be able to use the Boost specific apps without activating and being in service. And obviously, you won't be able to make phone calls or send SMS messages.
Q: how many hours of talk time on battery and how many days on standby
A: It can really can all depend upon what all you have running in the background.. I usually have the GPS off and Wifi Off unless at home. Also turning off the Data network save you some battery life.I can usually go about two days on a battery charge. So it seems to be pretty good to me.. Also I am not on the phone 24/ 7 so I hope that helps..
Q: Do I need to add minutes right away?
A: Of course. If you wanted you could just use this phone if you had a WiFi connection for internet purposes. But without WiFi don't expect to get any use out of it without getting service.
