Ok, so I moved into this house where the previous owner had wired everything a bit strangely. So after re wiring everything , tried to find the perfect small speaker to fit in a great room setting. Basically everything else was in wall but for the rear speakers had this huge been to deal with so needed something with a small foot print. Found these through some reviews and blogs and decided to go for it. They not only fit the area due to their small size and mount, they sounded terrific. I didn't need to paint them. They are an off white so blended perfectly into the walls. The mounts are great too.

I went to Best Buy looking for outdoor speakers to put in my back patio. I listen at the store to all their selection and I loved the Klipsch; since I have those for my home theater. Once I listen to these though I was pleasantly surprised how the range of sound reproduction was better than Klipsch; even the highs. Then I compared them to Bose and Bose was a big disappointment and they cost 3 times more. So I bought them and figured if they did not sound good in my patio I would return them. I love them! They are small, easy to install and fill my patio with beautiful music. Best of all they did were inexpensive. True bang for the buck.

the bracketry make these as cool as they sound. the shape of the speakers and their bracketry make these speakers unique for corner mounting. very unique and a must need in some situations where most other speakers wont compare. give these some high consideration if you are into custom mounting.

I have 4 of these on my patio. Great sound. Bass could be better but that is tough to do in an outdoor setting in general. I have to admit that I am under-powering them and that could be an issue. I will be purchasing and additional pair to cover the yard as well.

small size but surprisingly rich sound. Limited bass, of course, but for most outside applications (deck, gazebo etc) where the music will be mostly background level these speakers are superior. The included mounting options make this speaker very versatile

I bought these speakers to put out on my patio. I like how they had multiple mounting options which allowed me to place these in a corner area of the patio. The sound on these speakers is perfect for a patio. I was looking for something that would give some background noise while entertaining which these definitely do. They are also great if I want to crank them a bit when I am sitting out by myself. I got these when they were 50% off (49.99) a piece. It would be nice if they came in a pair like speakers normally do. I do not know who would want to buy just 1 speaker.

I purchased these speakers for my outdoor patio and they really blew me away! Originally went to purchase a pair of Yamahas but couldn't deny that these sounded much clearer. Compared to the Bose speakers, these speakers were pretty comparable and were much more reasonable. Very easy to mount and connect to the stereo system. Will be purchasing more when I expand the system!

We purchased this speaker to play music for the Allan Hancock softball team. They use it during practice and during games in the press box. So far the sound is great!

A:AnswerGreat question, and one that a lot of people ask.
We do recommend at least two speakers to give you right and left audio. I can recommend an article that Electronic House recently posted about creating an outdoor space with audio and video systems.
Here's what they say:
"Speaker placement in a backyard or outdoor space can be trickier than in a living room or home theater. Outside sound travels and can either travel far, into the yard next door, or not far enough so you may only get sound in localized spots. “Placement really needs to be thought out carefully,” says Steve Hunter. “You want the sound to be even across the whole area.” He noted that in the west Los Angeles area where his business is, yards or patios can be small, so he needs to be careful about where the speakers are projecting. “Typically I’ll put a set of speakers in the back of the yard, on a wall [if the yard has a wall] so they’re facing toward the house, and a set on the patio under the eaves,” he explains. This way the sound is all focused toward the living area of the yard and not simply blasted out into the neighborhood. For larger yards he uses landscape speakers that look like landscape lights. He’ll place them roughly in a circle pointing toward the listening area so that everyone can hear at the same volume. Because low frequencies have very large waves, they tend to dissipate quickly, so Hunter also recommends a subwoofer to fill in the sound. Subwoofers that can be partially buried are a good option."
Hope this helps!
A:AnswerHi Peter, sorry for the delayed response. Yes, you can leave the SoundWare speakers outside in all weather, all year round!!
As far as playing your iPod, you will need a source like a receiver connected to the SoundWare speakers.
Does this help?

A:AnswerI'm not sure exactly what you are asking. You can use a soundbar that would connect directly to your TV. the soundbar can then be mounted on the wall above or below your tv. indoor use only. we also have a system called SoundWare XS Digital Cinema which is pretty cool too. It has 2 small speakers & a subwoofer (not wireless). This also connects directly to your TV.
