Very clear, dynamic sound, in its own class
||Posted .If you haven't listened to one then you should if you want the best speaker / dock / airplay device in its class. You can even dock an iPad on it, but we use the airplay mode more which leaves the door wide open. We open Youtube, Pandora, Netflix through the iPad and have excellent sound throughout the Bowers and Wilkins Zep!!! Put together a play list and let its tone whisper into your eyes, or turn it up and fall in love with your favorites all over again.

Great sound after it gets loosened up
||Posted .Love this product, easy set up IF you follow this rule: Most important - make sure your WIFI has no SPECIAL characters $#@&%* etc. It cannot connect if there are special characters. Change your WIFI password FIRST if needed. Like all good speakers it will take 24-48 hours of PLAYING to loosen up and start breaking in. (sounds more compressed out of the box) - I like mine near a wall to enhance the bass. Remarkable sound for such a small unit. The sound can be adjusted in your iphone when docked. Other Answers: The app is ok - not perfect but workable. You cannot Airplay off multiple Zeppelins - you CAN stream from iTunes from computer over wifi to ultiple Zeppelins (I did not understand this when I purchased 2) Yes - when streaming from an old iphone or other hand-off device, sound will automatically mute when your iphone rings. I found this out when using my old iphone 5 to stream pandora when I answered a call on my current iphone (neat). Yes - if streaming from your phone you can change zeppelins you are playing from with a swipe of the finger in the app as you move from 1 room to another. When switching from dock to airplay some times it may get confused and not play - if this happens just stop your streaming ans start again. If you add an airport express your airplay options also increase. The whale app is usable also but whale will not allow airplay from iphone to multiple Zeppelins

Really ties the room together
||Posted .I was looking for a great 'soundbar' for my LED TV and I wanted to be able to play or stream music from my phone and computer. I had previously purchased a Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin mini to use strictly as an iPhone/pod dock. I immediately searched for a B&W model that was capable of being used as a soundbar as well as an iPhone/pod dock. This serves both of my needs and works perfectly! Plus, it sounds amazing, just as my previous B&W dock did. The sound range is absolutely incredible, very solid bass and crisp mids and highs. And it also features AirPlay to wirelessly listen to music from my iPhone. Plus it does have various inputs so nearly any brand of phone or device can be hooked up and controlled via the included wireless remote. I will not go with any other brand for any future purchases!

Superior sound
||Posted .One of the best sounding self contained systems out there for a wide range of sounds. It really makes vocals and violins sing and isn't as base heavy as some out there, all though it still does a good job with base heavy songs. A couple of things to keep in mind though, the light on the front of the speakers is always on, whether the speakers are powered on or not, and whether they're connected to anything or not. As long as they are plugged in, it will be lit. I didn't find that to be much of an issue, but I'm used to a wide range of lighting in my bedrooms, but if you're a light sleeper or red lights bug you, this isn't the speaker for you. Another thing to bear in mind if your usung the speakers via AirPlay, they can only be controlled by a single Apple device, so no switching back and forth between you iPad and iPhone, nor can you and your significant other both easily control the music like you could with a Sonos setup, but to me the better sound quality at this price ( I got it for $200 off) was worth the trade offs, despite the fact we have a so is system that covers out of the rest of the house. That said, test them out and see if you feel the same. (The iPad/iPhone plug in is also a super fast charger which is a plus).

The portable music delivery system
||Posted .I experienced the system at my friends home. He put his I Pad on the unit and when he turned the system on, I could not believe the incredible sound, and how it filled his 20,000 sq. ft.penthouse! I took my wife to Best Buy in Sarasota, and the great service provider explained in detail the features and benefits while using my wife's I Phone downloaded music. The demo attracted other shoppers/ browsers. After the demo, we immediately purchased a unit for our Siesta Key Condo, and soon after bought a 2nd Bowers and Wilkins system from Best Buy for our Ohio Home. Thank you for one of the greatest values for the money! Frederic

Great sound for a portable speaker
||Posted .What a pleasant surprise! I knew the product would be good, better than anything else in the market (name it Bose, beats, Sonos, Monster, etc.), but I wasn't expecting it to be this good. Sound quality is great, not audiophile quality but great for what it is, an Airplay speaker. The speaker is loud and there is no distortion at any level. I use it outside and I don't have to crunk it all the way up to get good volume. Stereo separation is fair, but it's impossible to make it any better as both channels are so close to each other. Anyway, I highly recomment this product.

Great Sound and Design
||Posted .Reviewed and researched many music solutions for outside the house and selected the Zeppelin Air Lightning for its sound quality and convenience. To be used mostly by the pool there were other good options such as a pair of Sonus One + Subwoofer but their $1000 cost and sprawling complexity made the $400 single unit Bowers & Wilkins unit my choice. Whether docking an iPhone 5S or streaming wirelessly it was easy to set-up. This is my second B&W product since purchasing the 801 Series 3 Abbey Road monitors in 1996 for indoor listening.

Surprising sound for an all in one
||Posted .I now own 2 of these. The sound produced is amazing and can easily fill a medium size room. I occasionally have some wireless connectivity issues, but almost certain this is due to my wifi. Some may balk at the $400 (sale) price, but you will generally get what you pay for when it comes to speakers. One downside is this only support Airplay and not Bluetooth. Worst case, you can use the 3.5mm connector. BTW, to one of these I have an optical connection to a DVD/CD player and listen that way occasionally.
