Broan - Allure 36" Convertible Range Hood - White-on-White

I researched and read many reviews on range hoods before purchasing this one. My son found this range hood to be easy to install. It fits into the opening from the precious hood exactly, and since it is deeper, it actually covers up defects from the original cabinet. The appearance is outstanding and blends in perfectly with the other stainless steel appliances. I particularly enjoy the three light options because I am able to use the lowest one as a night light.

We have had 2 other Broan fans, and an electrical problem occurred in both of them. So far this one seems to be working well and I love the halogen lighting over the stove.

love the cooktop hood. looks sleek and nice and works very well. we were surprised when we used it and fan suddenly turned on. we didnt know it had the auto fan but we love it!

I didn't know range hoods had improved so much since my old one was installed 31 years ago! The fan is very quiet, and the lighting, with two halogen bulbs, is superb - all the way from very low to lighting up the whole kitchen. The appliance is also very attractive and matches my cooktop and built-in oven-microwave combination.

This is a nice looking range hood for the price. People comment that it only draws on the left side. The fan is on the left side - so it is stronger there. But draws from the entire area. The lowest setting is almost worthless. The highest setting is quite noisy. I wish there was a on/off indicator light for the lights (like it has for the fan) so you could tell which light level you have on. Also - the light bulbs stick out at least 1/4" and are easily visible. I'd prefer if they were recessed. But the light is quite bright and lights the cooktop well. The low setting is quite dim but good for a nightlight level. It was very helpful to be able to offset the duct by 1/2", which was just enough to miss the stud.
