For the most part I really like this machine. I have been plagued with the all-in-one ink jet printers ever since I started this job 5 1/2 years ago. It just seems like no matter what, in about a 1 1/2-2 years it has to be replaced. We finally decided to switch to a laser, hope this helps! Considering we are a small business, we only need basic function and though we use it everyday, we don't print probably more that 50-100 pages a day. My biggest problem with the all-in-one or the MFC type printers is the scan feature always seems to be lacking. Maybe I just haven't found the "secret" to this one? But I scan just about everything that comes across my desk. For the most part the scanner has been the quickest and nothing ever gets jammed (the wheel that pulls the documents in seems to be wider than most I've seen before, I'm guessing that is why it does a better job). Of course the only problem I'm finding is when trying to scan a two sided document.

I'm using this printer for a month, print less than 20 pages per day, still use the 1st toner. got one toner for later under $30.
Size of the printer fix on my small coffee table 18"x18".
I had a few problem while connected the printer with wireless router, after uninstalled, reinstalled, everything worked like magic. cause the problem was IP address conflicted, have to restart the router and reset the printer.
I don't have to pay for wireless printer that cost $ 30-50 more, and dulpex save a lot of paper.
PS. I got this for $129. can't beat the price and value.

Mostly Great All-in-One Printer

The Brother all in one is an excellent home office or small business use printer. Prints blazing fast without so much as a hiccup. The only caveat is it causes our office lights to flicker when it prints. This has something to do with a combination of the harmonics the thing puts back on the line and our dated office lighting. We have T12 with the old magnetic ballasts.

Great for small office, can do it all as advertised. The customizable scan options work well although the user settings software could use an update - No direct wireless printingOverall - the quality is great and consumables expenses are average - our second Brother All-In-One, the first was very reliable, we just plain wore it out!

The brother printers we own have all been reliable and a good value for the money. Although not as fancy or having as many features as others in the price range they will give you a solid product for the long term with decent print speeds and ink costs.
