Great little printer....not quite 5 stars though
||Posted .I am a label freak. This is like the 6th brother labeler I've purchased over the years and I even have about 3 other brands for other uses. Love the wireless feature of this printer and that's what drew me to this model. I travel a lot so the size and the ability to use my iPhone to make labels is FANTASTIC! Setting it up is a bit tough but i was able to get it. You will need to know a bit about wireless networking to get it set up. PROS: Wireless! It can be the Access point too. You don't have to have a network present to use it wirelessly. iPhone app is really cool. Great for labeling cables. CONS: I was disappointed in the print resolution. I've used the PT9600 and its logo printing is far better. This unit delivers the standard resolution as all the other Brother Labelers. Wireless setup is frustrating. Also the side door to change out the label cartridge is also part of the bottom of the machine. Which means when you open it, it tilts the machine over. Not a deal breaker, just a bit cumbersome. Overall I like it....being able to print from my phone makes it easy and customizable quickly without wiping out a laptop and cables. Run it off of batteries and you have custom logos printed in seconds. You can save labels on your phone as well.
