Q: Those the keyboard come with a built in battery or does it run off of the ipad?
A: built in battery. it comes with a charger but not a cube to plug into the wall. it is a usbc plug on both ends, not a typical usb
Q: does the ipad disconnect from the keyboard?
A: it will work when it’s not physically connected. it slides into the top of the keyboard, but bluetooth allows it to work without being physically connected
Q: Will this work with the newest 2021 iPad?
A: The Brydge does not work with the 2021 iPAD. It does not fit properly in the hinges. Get the new Apple Magic Keyboard for the iPAD 2021.
Q: will this keyboard work with iPad pro 12.9 first generation?
A: Doesn’t look like it from the specs it says 3rd and 4th no mention of 1st or 2nd
Q: Does this keyboard work with the 4th Generation iPad 2020?
A: It will work with the 3rd and 4th gen iPad Pro 12.9”. They are the same dimensions. Be careful of what screen protector you get, it might make it hard to get the iPad in and out of the case.
Q: Will this work of the ipad is in a case? Such as an otterbox case or similar?
A: No. The hinges that the iPad sit in are not flexible. They are very sturdy and the iPad is well protected. Unless you’re going to be dropping the iPad and keyboard you won’t need a case.
