Worthless machine. One ink is down and it stops

I switched from an HP printer to give Canon a try since I loved their cameras. Let me tell you, Canon has no business being in the printer business. This machine is one of the worst I have ever used. It is big and bulky and barely fits in any office space. It contains multiple ink cartridges of several colors and if one cartridge runs out, printing is suspended and there is no getting around it. That is the craziest thing I have ever heard if you are just printing black and white, to stop printing if color goes down? Plus the wireless is sporadic and the software is not user friendly. It is a worthless machine and I actually tossed the whole machine in the garbage and bought an HP Envy with auto refill ink which is much better. Stick to cameras Canon, get out of the printer business!

Great....when it works

This printer worked great for the first 6 months or so, and then....problems.
I like the scan feature, which works great and is easy to use. I also like having a built-in copier. The problem is that it is hard to print anything on this printer. When all five ink tanks are full, it prints...sometimes. But if one of the color tanks is low, it won't allow me to print even in grayscale. When I want to print in fast mode, with lower quality, it won't print; it requires me to use the full quality mode all the time...which uses more ink...which means that the ink tanks get low...which means I can't print at all. I am very frustrated with this printer.

I thought this would be a great photo printer since it is made by Canon. I was wrong! I have a Canon SLR camera and this printer makes my pictures look very grainy. The pictures look great in my photo editing software, but then print very dark and grainy. I am very disappointed in this product and wish I had not spent any money on it. Now I have a useless printer.
