Read carefully, it is kind of long, but this was my experience:
As shown, I bought this PC at the store after carefully researching for it since the specs made me fall in love with it (and the looks of it).
Beautiful Tower, beautiful specs, everything was great, and I was excited to get it in a matter of 3- weeks.
It was scheduled to arrive on 09/13/2022, but it came a day after. It's ok, things like these are expected to happen with UPS and deliveries in general.
The PC arrived around 3:30PM to 4:00PM at my home.
My wife picked up the PC and I told her to unpack it and put everything ready so we could set Windows together after I arrive from work.
NOTICE: I told my wife to record the unpacking process because if something came damage or missing, I wanted to have evidence of what happened just to play save.
She recorded an uncut video of around 20min showing the unboxing process together with the set-up.
We set up Windows with no problem, it was running fine, installed automatically the main gaming programs to try off several games.
FIRST FLAG: Some games had to be installed on Windows because on D it was giving issues, but this is mostly a game matters and not the PC.
SECOND FLAG: On Friday after work, I saw my wife playing GTA V in MEDIUM GRAPHICS because it was running slow and with lag. Marvel's Spider-Man had the same issue, and that's the game that motivated me to do this purchase, to play it with all graphics.
My laptop run these games with some high graphics with no problem, and this beast was running them slow.
THIRD FLAG: On the same day, at night I was playing a small game (Helldivers) with my wife and all the sudden the PC froze, and then restarted. It was very weird and it did it again after some time, but the difference is that the second time the screen showed the green effects from the Matrix like something was wrong.
I restarted the PC, and it seems that the issue was fixed.
On Saturday morning, I turned on the PC to play Spider-Man and the Helldivers game and this time it wasn't even recognizing the monitor.
I connected my brother's gaming monitor to confirm that it wasn't a monitor's issue, and that's when I noticed that the graphic card wasn't a TI.
I got the RTX 3070 instead of the TI, and it seems that the AMD processor was defective since the computer was crashing this badly like that.
Sadly I had to return this product because by the time I bought it was $2399.99.
At the store I explained basically what is written here, and after checking that it wasn't the right card and everything, a supervisor in front of us let the guys that were helping us that it CAN NOT be returned because the piece of the computer was different.
Excuse me? I came today because I received something wrong (which let me remind you the price of the TI is over $100 more than the regular 3070) and the product was defective. One of the guys that was working with us basically called us LIARS because he couldn't "disprove nor approve the validity of the uncut video".
First, he never wanted to even check that video or the ones that we had recorded in the middle of the excitement when the computer arrived.
At the end after getting beyond upset by feeling scammed and by the disrespect, the guy was told by a manager that yes, the product will be returned but that wasn't supposed to be like that because we are responsible to check what we receive, and that with us will be an exception.
As a customer, I bought something to consume, I checked it out and found out something wrong when it gave issues because I was with the computer for literally couple of days. I am not technician nor a best buy employee or anything like it to check some things that I don't know, but at least the basics is what we care and expect the product to work.
Finally, I got the money reimbursed today, which is something good that took a lot of effort this past Friday to claim my legal right and more after having all the evidence needed to prove that I didn't change any piece of the computer so I could give it back. What is the purpose of doing such of thing?
Well, after this I think it is not necessary to point out my frustration and great disappointment with all the parties involved.
It could have been a great product and a great experience, but this mistake and the way my wife and I were treated at the store it is unacceptable. Now I don't want to do anything anymore with Best Buy nor CLX.
This was my experience.
