Uniden, Cobra, and Motorola all make a 37-mile version that is waterproof to 3 feet of depth for no longer than 5 minutes because of their gaskets in the radio. Floating/waterproof versions of walkie-talkies usually cost about $100 for a pair of them and are waterproof versions like I mentioned being rated for no deeper than 3 feet under water for no longer than 5 minutes at any time.
