Never played a Souls game before but loved this!

That always put me off from trying those games and anything similar. However, I tried this game thanks to a friend and I ended up loving it a lot. There are a lot of options for character customization and the gameplay is great! The difficulty is easier thanks to an AI partner that fights alongside you. I found the story to be really interesting as well.

The story is awesome and engaging while the combat is quite challenging... And the animation is superb.

"Soulslike" with anime story arc

Curbside pickup was flawless. Came out within a minute and off I went. Finally got a chance to try the game recently. "Soulslike" game with dark anime overtones with a very robust character creator. Has coop which I have yet to try, but so far combat and visuals seem clean and game runs great on my ps4 slim. I'm primarily a pc gamer, but Best Buy's deal on the ps4 version was hard to beat. Recommended!

That means it's a bit tough, but not overly so. The character creator is amazingly robust, though be prepared, because the game is very anime, so if you're not into that, you might get turned odd by the graphics. Gameplay and story were overall pretty great, and I enjoyed it quite a bit.
