Crucial X6 SE 2 TB
The Crucial X6 SE 2 TB is a high-capacity, ultra-portable SSD offering good real-world performance at an attractive price—excellent for backups, file transport between devices, and console game storage. Just be mindful that sustained write speeds will taper off, cables/ports must support USB 3.2 Gen 2, and it lacks encryption or rugged casing. If your workflow is occasional transfers, media storage, or gaming library management, it’s a smart purchase.

great drive, no slow-downs copying large files
This little SSD is fast, even for a "lower" end model. Crucial makes faster models, but my usage doesn't require the fastest available. It was a toss up between this and a regular external hard drive. I've dropped the standard external laptop drive before from a distance of about a foot onto hardwood floors and completely ruined it (getting the eternal clicking sound). Nice that this is solid state and I don't have to worry about that. I see some older reviews with buffer/writing problems, they must have updated these to include some RAM cache as I copied dozens of large files (over 10GB each) with no slow downs. Usually the cheaper drives have no cache or very little and you see the speed drop early on around 1Gb as it's full and can't catch up. This one keeps on going and I'd love to see what the faster models could produce. I've added a picture showing the copying of around 100Gb of files, with many .iso's of 20Gb each (or more), and it's 43% into it and not slowing down. Very small, easy to put in your pocket. Smaller than the Sandisk extreme of same capacity. Gets a little warm when copying, but doesn't get hot. Drive is currently formatted MBR/NTFS to be compatible with a few devices.
