Q: Does it make just soft serve or does it make hard ice cream tool
A: It's soft serve out of the machine. Put into an airtight container and keep in freezer for a few hours for hard ice cream.

A: Yes, it's pretty loud. I still love my machine, though. I've used it regularly since 2019 and I'm buying the same unit again today. My husband melted the cover and a replacement part is no longer available.
