A: The SLC8420B is technically the newer model of the SLC8280B which is why their normally priced almost the same. Please note that the SLC8280B also been updated to the newer 7th Generation Intel i7-7700K processor. Please note that the SLC8420B does include a backlit RGB 7 color keyboard and wireless connectivity which are not included in the SLC8280B.
