Have had nothing but irritation with this
||Posted .Owned for 9 months when reviewed. My mother's Windows 7 finally died last summer (coincidentally when they stopped supporting the OS), so I bought her this simple standalone CPU because her eyesight requires a larger monitor than a laptop offers. All my mother needs is something to check her email and facebook pages with, so considering all the memory the unit has, it should be overkill. Unfortunately, if the unit has been on for any more than two hours, it gets hot and freezes up. My mother simply shuts it completely down for the night, and not being a regular user, it didn't bother her. What does annoy her is the fact that it takes such a long time to power up to where when she clicks her browser to open it, it actually opens. At first, she kept clicking because she didn't think it was acknowledging she clicked and eventually wound up with ten windows suddenly open, but now she knows to just click and walk away for five or more minutes until the browser window opens. Nothing about the specs accounts for it taking that long the way this does, and that happens with all of the simple functions. After the better part of a year going by since I got it for her, she wanted to know how to open the CD drawer to look at a disc of photos a family member sent. I came over to load it for her and discovered all the problems she has had with this thing. No CD drive btw; the unit has a DVD drive on the front, which would be awesome if it even opened to try and use it. Apparently, it's just a false front that does not open because looking at the file tree, it shows C: drive and that's it, as in no DVD drive is even acknowledged. I was so irritated about this waste of money (and my mother never mentioning all the problems), I dug out the emailed receipt and noticed the little link that says: "Write a Review." Oh, okay. Here's my review: DON'T SPEND MONEY ON THIS. I found out that her friend who bought the same kind of refurbished unit thinking my mom's was a good buy is also having the exact same problems - - - takes forever to do anything and it overheats. What's the point of having a gazillion bytes of storage in a unit that is uncooperative and barely usable?? If I had any idea she AND her friend were having such trouble with these refurbs, I would have returned it right away. Mom never mentioned it was giving her grief, so nothing I can do now except get her something else. And write this better-late-than-never review so no one else gets one of these units.

Great low price for a decent desktop!
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. Some of these reviews made me question the reliability of this desktop, but the low price made me buy it. I am glad I did! It works perfectly, even the DVD drive. I am glad this has an HDMI output to plug this into the TV. What really impressed me is how, in my case, it came better than the online description which states Intel Core i3 and 250GB HD. Mine came with Intel Core i5 (which is better) and almost double storage capacity, however that may not be the case for everyone. Very happy with this purchase from Best Buy!

Better than I expected
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Though I would prefer a new computer, this was a great buy to replace an old one. Having read reviews prior to making the choice, I didn't know what to expect. The reviews were completely polarized. I got a fully functional, quick computer at a cost which was a much needed saving.

Computer works fine
||Posted .We use it at the Fire Station for our IAMResponding Monitor Displays throughout the Station. It works fine, the keyboard it came with works fine. My only gripe was the mouse that came with it was trashed, broken and pretty much didn’t work. So we threw it out. Set up was fine, afterward, we didn’t need the mouse anyway. Lol.

Q: QuestionCan this run and play games like League of Legends?
Asked by Adam.
- A:Answer The specs on this computer are probably not sufficient to play a game like LoL or any other graphics-intensive game. It is not fast even doing basic tasks. I would recommend a computer with at least an i5-i7 processor and a graphics card if you want to play games.
