      Amazing Monitor for Productivity

I was really debating between this and dual display. For the price you can get 2 4k monitors and I was really confused how 1 monitor was going to allow me to really manage multiple windows. So I went with the dual setup and just noticed that there was a lot of wasted pixels and no increase in satisfaction. I did a ton of research and for work use the text quality is top notch. Since I don't game, MHz was not a consideration. Now that I have this monitor I really see the light. I can have multiple apps up at one time so it's like a dual display without the bezel. Then when I open photoshop I have all of the real estate in the world. It will take you 2 days to get used to the curve and then you will wonder how you lived without it. By far, after 28 years of programming, this is the #1 purchase for productivity gain and #1 purchase for improving my quality of work life. Cannot wait to buy my 2nd one! No cons.. all pros.. and trust me.. buy it at Best Buy because curved monitors break in shipping and returning a broken monitor online could be extremely painful. Love this monitor every second I sit in front of it.

Started off with the 34 inch flat LG, was around 300 on sale which fit the price. Unfortunately when it showed up you could see grey lines in the middle of the screen especially when using standard Microsoft applications. Almost looked like how it was back lit, but I couldn’t live with it anymore after a couple days so exchanged it for a new one. Same issue…..a bit more faded, but still there nagging me, so much for a cheaper monitor option. Sooo went back and shoved out the money for the 34 curved Dell. I didn’t particularly want a curved monitor but its what was available. TOTALLY worth it. The curve is cool, but the resolution is the seller. I have multiple programs up at once, the LG made them bigger, and thus made me more efficient, but the dell makes a 3 window view wayyyyy more perfect, it just fits right with plenty of viewing. WORD OF ADVICE THOUGH, do NOT install the dell monitor manager, it over takes windows controls and forces you to lay out in the preselected format you choose, opposed to just snapping on to edges of the screen. So after deleting that, all was perfected. Some light bleed in the bottom left corner, but only noticeable during boot. This is for my work so no gaming or movie opinions. Also I’ve only had it a couple days so we will see how longevity goes, got the Geek protection though so not too worried.

      Productivity Game Changer

I work in development and days analytics and topically always have at least one instance of Visual Studio, SQL Management Studio as well as a host of tabs open in web browsers. I've been using this model's older and smaller sibling for a while now (25") and constantly needed to switch between apps. I also typically have two computers connected (the older model also has the built in KVM switch) so just from a feature perspective, this monitor was a no brainer. Since installing, it has been absolutely amazing. Using a software solution to split the screen into two virtual monitors it allows me to easily have a multiple monitor configuration without the hassle of the extra wires and annoyance of the bezels.

I thoroughly enjoy using this monitor. I'm contemplating upgrading my 27" Apple display at work with this model as well. The 34" widescreen let's you multi-task on two or more things at once without the bezel or unnecessary width of side-by-side displays. I'm impressed by the build quality and aesthetics as well. It's fairly seamless interface with my MacBook Pro but occasionally it won't recognize my laptop after going to sleep or upon disconnecting/reconnecting. Unplugging and opening solves the problem. I was on the fence about whether to spend this much on a monitor and was considering two 24" or 27" monitors instead. This display felt over-the-top when I pulled it out of the box, but after using it for a couple of days I'm glad I went this direction. I've been using the monitor for the last month and a half and won't be looking back.

      Awesome UW monitor!

I own this monitor for almost a year now. I bought it for multiple display setup ( two Dell UP2716D monitors & this monitor) in my tiny (& messy home office, lol) work, photo editing, & entertainment as well. Plenty of work space due to the UW screen, great resolution, color is really good out of the box (I calibrated it though). The two cons are 1.) tiny bleed on the lower side of the screen while the two UP2716D's have zero bleed. 2.) calibrating it isn't as good as the UP2716D. But it's no big deal, minor cons against many pros.

      Split, flat, or curved?

A few of my co-workers use 2 screens for productivity which I tried and didn't care for, another uses a 32" TV to save money but the resolution wasn't comfortable on my eyes with CAD, email, spreadsheet, Word, and PDF editing programs I use daily. My next debate was flat versus curved. I knew 32-34 inch was the size I wanted but had never worked for any long period of time with a curved screen. I'm glad I selected this Dell curved monitor for my daily Office tasks. The curved screen is very comfortable, the 3440x1440 resolution is crisp and clear, and multitasking is a snap with the presets.

When I bought this, I was focused solely on the description of it being a curved screen. I didn't really realize how absolutely ENOURMOUS this thing is until I picked it up from Best Buy and even the employee was just blown away at the sheer size of the thing. It was kind of hilarious, actually; we both thought it was a tv at first. This monitor is absolutely amazing. The sheer screen space is insane. The only issues I have is that the thing was too large for the desk I owned so I had to set up a temporary card table until I can find a more suitable sized desk. That, and the fact that literally any other monitor I ever use now seems absolutely puny in comparison.

I had purchased this because my 27" died. At first I thought I would not like it, but turned out to love it and would recommend to anyone that wants to have the really nice screen real estate. I am an avid gamer wanted a mixture of both. I understand that there are better monitor on the market, but it was what i could afford at the time. This thing does really well, but only if you have v-sync turned on. If you do not have it turned on, the game stutters really bad making games unplayable. If you are "ok" with playing games at 60hz, and are trying to get the ultra-wide experience on a budget, take a look at this. I found what i was looking for.
