    Great price--IF you don't have a heavy-duty case!

I bought specifically because a reviewer SAID that it works with Lifeproof cases. Well not sure what Lifeproof case they meant--but I have my 6S in a Lifeproof Fre case & it most definitely does NOT work with it. NONE of the many non-Apple cords I've tried do...but I thought this one was going to based on this person's review. THEN when I went to RTN IT? Best Buy's computer had the NERVE to spit out a form saying that they'd return THIS but future returns, maybe NOT. I DO NOT return a lot. A couple of expensive computers were replaced based on the EXTENDED WARRANTY that of course is always OFFERED & ENCOURAGED--& @least one or BOTH of those were processed the SAME as a RETURN---but I don't count that as a RETURN. So NOW I am labeled as an excessive RETURNER?? HOW can that be LEGAL anyway? IF there are LIMITS to returns, shouldn't they have to have it in writing?? I am obviously NOT HAPPY about this. So I kept these 3 charging cords, intending to sell them in order to not jeopardize any future returns that may be necessary!

So who knows if my phone/tablet manufacturer may discontinue the lightning cable for whatever's next in charging/syncing. The first time I bought this cable, I saw that it was on clearance and thought why not. It's MFI (always a must for me for peace of mind) and picked one up to keep exclusively in my truck. After a few days I decided to give it a shot to see if it would sync my phone with my computer, and everything worked there just as it should. When I saw it on clearance again, I picked up three more. The spouse and I tend to disagree on who has taken whose cable. This way I know I've got some spare, dependable cables everywhere I need them, including two for my office. I suggest buying these on clearance when available. The color I chose, gray, is not hideous by any means if that matters to anyone. The appearance stays clean looking better than the standard white cables and connectors will.

There is no denying that the price on these cables is great... AND- if you can get them when they are on sale for about $2/each it is a steal. That said- My experience has been "good for what I paid for" versus "wow- what a bargain!" I have used two separate cables and both have occasional issues with maintaining their connection. Not the hard connection to the device, but the data/power transfer. I will hear intermittent connection sounds from two different iPhone devices while plugged in. Does it fully charge in the end? Yes- but it is not a constant connection. I would recommend these cables with the expectation set as my experiences have shown to be in the use of this item.

I use these cables exclusively for my iPad Pro 10.5 and iPhone SE. They are a great value, especially since Best Buy runs sales on these Apple certified cables for $2.00 each. So far, I have 5 of these cables that I can put in many places for convenience. I have one in my laptop bag, two that live in a surge protector (power strip) w/ integrated USB-A ports. In fact, I save my original device cables to be used as back ups. I highly recommend these cables. Plus, the 1 year warranty gives me a little more confidence. My only wish is that they had a lifetime warranty like Monoprice does for many of their USB cables, but for the price I'm willing to overlook this. I'd also love to see Best Buy have their own low-cost, store brand USB-C cables (on both ends and with Lightning).

First off.. I'm a nerd jock. I go hard when it comes to all things electronic. These cables definitely live up to the hype. First and foremost, they are gray (or grey). I don't really know the difference between grey and gray. The English language sucks. Back on topic. Gray/Grey cables are definitely where it's at. You get the fastest transfer speeds with gra(e)y over any other color. It's science. And it's magic. Second. Rubber. These cables have the best. I think they called up Kumho and was like, give me there best rubber. Kumho was like, ok. And boom. Awesome rubber. Let's talk length. It definitely matters. These aren't too long and they aren't too short. What's that?! Oh yeah, gray grey. Get these mother cables. I did and I'm more awesome for it. 100

    Why Pay More?

This is a product that does not last long under normal (at least my wife's) use, regardless of the brand you use. Initially this performs just as well as the Apple product that costs significantly more. At this point I really do not know if it will last longer, but really doubt that it will only last 1/4 as long as the equivalent Apple product that lasted only a year. One disappointment was difficulty they had finding it in the store. I knew from the internet there were plenty in stock, but it took 20 minutes for them to find one. For some reason they were in with appliances rather than computers, or phones. I am glad that I persisted and found someone willing to look for what I thought was there. Considering the small sale, that was going over and beyond what would have normally been expected even if it should have not been necessary.

We have purchased about 5-6 of these, and unfortunately, they are short-lived. The length of time varies, as to when the phone will no longer recognize the cable, but none have lasted beyond a month - maybe 2. I see that the reviews are in the product’s favor, but from our family’s experience.. we’ve not had reliability with these. It’s worth spending a little more rather than risking temporary use. Some mfi certified cables come in 3 - 5 packs for about $5 more.. wiser decision in my opinion and experience.

I was initially skeptical about the cables because they looked very thin. They did not also have the AWG rating which was important to me. I do not generally recommend any cable less than 20AWG for newer smartphones which can pull up to 2.4Amps of current. I was able to find the MFi certification details of these cables and started using them. After using them for a couple of months I was confident they are good enough and started recommending them to my friends. Between our friends we have purchased at least 20 cables over the year and we did not need to buy more as none of the cables broke yet. That is certainly a good cable given that my friends have pre-teens and teens using the cables ;)
