A: Hi this is Joe with Dyson, Thank you for your interest in our air multiplier technology. AM08 is our latest pedestal style air multiplier compared to our previous offering the AM03. Dyson sound engineers have worked on reducing the tonality of the sound produced by Dyson Air Multiplier™ fans, by targeting specific frequencies. Noise is not only about the decibel level, but the quality of the sound being produced. The AM03 Dyson Air Multiplier™ fan reached 65dBA on its fastest and most powerful setting whereas our latest desktop fan the AM06 is actually up to 35% quieter due to our improvements to the air loop and implementation of Helmholtz cavities. Helmholtz resonance is the phenomenon of air resonance in a cavity. This catches the sound waves traveling through the machine and bounces them within the cavity, dissipating the sound. Q: Which one would be better for a master suite ? am08 or am07 from Dyson
A: Hi It's Vince with Dyson. The AM07 is a tower fan with our largest air loop amplifier. I believe this specific design for this model provides a larger direct area of coverage when compared to the AM08. The AM08's pedestal design quickly would cool an entire room and can be tilted to provide a more personal effect. Q: ?what is the power consumption of the AM08 @ 120VAC? ?how much air flow does it move?
A: Not sure of power consumption but this fan moves some serious air on high and soft quiet on low better than a ceiling fan for sure.
