This is exactly what I have been looking for and so hard to find elsewhere. It is small (for a small night table). It is solar, so the batteries will last a very long time. Nice to not be electric so no EMFs when sleeping. It is great that it is not always bright (bad for sleeping) - but to brighten display, you just hit the top! It is easy to set, but would be nice if you could set the time in reverse. Regardless, for the price is it a great deal.
I would recommend this to a friend

This THING has no cord so it relys on battery and solar to operate. in order to make the battery last the backlight on the display is only visible when you touch the button. my bed is a little lower than the nightstand and the angle of the display doesn't let me see what time it is unless I get up and push the button... Does ANYONE think that this is practical? The buttons are tiny and cheap. The writing is VERY hard to read... This THING just takes eco-responsibility a step too far beyond the realm of practicality.
If you are the kind of person who smashes the clock in search of another 9 minutes (This one only has 5 minutes snooze) you will most likely crush it or send it flying.
The backlight went out after a week and I was forced to do what should have been done in the first place, TAKE IT BACK!
If you are thinking about this little unit for a guest room, or a cabin / something like that where it would be lightly used and not your everyday clock. or on a desk as just a display of time and temp during the day it might be OK... It is SO small that this is most likely where it belongs. Otherwise keep looking.
