  • For doors and windows: Compact and versatile design fits onto any door or window frame. Requires eufy Security HomeBase.

Q: When the sensor detects an opening in the armed mode, where are sirens deployed? To only the sensor itself? Or also the HomeBase? Also, can an alarm be sent to your phone (not just a notification). I'd want to make sure I hear an alarm while asleep.

A: If the entry sensor triggers an alarm, the siren is played ONLY from the HomeBase. You can receive a notification on your phone in addition to the siren that sounds from the HomeBase, but it would just be the phone notification sound and not a constant siren on your phone. The siren itself is not as loud as I expected it to be. We live in a two-story house and the siren can't even be heard downstairs. It's possible this could be remedied by having Echo Dots (or similar) connected to the HomeBase to trigger whenever an action occurs, but that's more things to purchase and integrate. However, Eufy has been very good about updating the app (regular updates appear to be released about every two weeks or so), so it's possible the sound notification may be corrected in the future. From my research it sounds like Eufy would have to add/enable sounds in the app, and that those sounds could then be used for Eufy notifications.

Q: How do I get the home base. Amazing how hard it is to figure this out. Maybe this should be mentioned up front and the base be available at best buy. Typical of todays companies and we are not off to a good start.

A: Eufy home base comes with other Eufy home security items like outdoor camera and doorbell. If you look at some of the items listed at BestBuy website, you will be able to see them in the product description.

Q: Is eufy compatible with google nest ? Can the window and door sensors be connected to google nest and where would the alarm sound? Can eufy video doorbell with storage base be connected to googlenest

A: This Entry Sensor is compatible with google nest. It supports using google nest hub as an alarm. The Doorbell also supports google nest hub.

Q: WHAT POWERS BOTH EUFY SECURITY ENTRY SENSOR DEVICES?

A: The Eufy entry sensor is power by a battery (come with) on the larger sensor. The smaller piece does not need power. It is an encapsulated magnet since this is a Reed switch.

Q: I have a eufy door bell camera already. Does the door sensor work with it? Do I have to purchase a home base for the door alarm?

A: The entry sensor only work with a home base which the door bell do not. But the Eufy can manage both devices in one place.

Q: Can the alarms be set to trigger at night only through the app?

A: Not directly, but with help of eufy security keypad. Multiple devices like eufy cameras and sensors can be added to the Security keypad and then set alarm to activate when you are away from home or in night mode.
