Good But I Expected Better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.EVGA has seemed to have cheaped out ironically on a card that cost nearly $1300. The backplate and heatsinks are made of lower quality compared with my EVGA GTX 1080 SC. The fans click whenever they turn on and the card seems to have an issue regulating its idle and quiet fan modes. The fan will turn on and off multiple times when in the temperature range where it begins to kick on. It will just keep clicking if I don’t set a manual fan speed. Pretty annoying to have to set up but whatever I guess. Never did I have an issue like this with my older 1080. Obviously performance seems to still make me rate this card as good. It eats anything I throw at it.

Q: QuestionWhat happened to coming out on the 27th?
Asked by ItWorksIGuess.
- A:Answer Apparently there are several issues: 1). A massive launch of several videocards is putting pressure on Nvidia's supply chain (it is always the case - it's hard for Nvidia to make supply equal to demand with launches like that). 2). A relatively large number of preorders. 3). Due to a larger chip area Nvidia can't make enough quality chips to produce enough cards, to supply its partners etc. AFAIK on September 27th Nvidia and partners started to ship cards at least to people who preordered them. Looks like the consensus is to wait several weeks for 2080 Ti to appear - or several months if you want them with water cooling blocks preinstalled (watercooled 2080 Ti are coming in January, unfortunately - at least that's what I read). P.S. Or you can buy a normal 2080, not Ti - there is no shortage of these.
