I was so happy to install my caller ID after my old Bell South one quit (after 20 years!) I hope this one lasts that long. Now when I am in the kitchen and the wall phone rings, I can check the number showing before I pick up. I'm happy as a lark again!

Got this unit for in the bedroom where we have an old style French phone with no caller ID--the old voice CID failed. There was little to do when installing it except for adding back-up batteries and keying in area code information. The screen is quite visible and deleting calls is very easy. I was used to a unit with a "voice" feature and after the first middle-of-the-night call really missed it. But, what I got and what I paid for is a good deal: it works as was advertised and was intended.

I bought this product so that I will know which calls to take and which to ignore. Coupled with call block from my telephone service provider, I have had no trouble recognizing unwanted callers, and most of them have stopped calling my home.

I bought one and liked so much I ordered another. Thinking about a third for the bedroom. Very easy to read for a old man with bad eyes. Best Buy is the cheapest place to purchase...no shiping when you walk in and pick up.

Purchased this caller-id for my elderly father-in-lawn and it quit working 2 months later. Display would show all "8888's". Called the manufacturer and talked with customer service and they provided instructions on how to fix the problem. It worked for a while, but then the same problem re-occured with more frequency and finally would not clear at all.
I returned it to Best Buy and they ordered a replacement.
The second one quit working in 4 months. I won't waste any more time or money on these.
