FLTR95 Sealing Face Masks use a melt-blown polypropylene filter that is highly effective, offering ≥95% filtration of airborne particulates @ 0.3+ microns. And, unlike cloth or surgical masks, Sealing Face Masks are designed to reduce particles inhaled by the wearer. The tight face-to-mask seal of the FLTR95 reduces leakage and directs inhaled air through the filter membrane to minimize inhaled particles. Secure fitting ear loops pull the mask back snugly against the face, while the folded form factor and adjustable nose piece conforms well to a variety of face shapes and sizes. The multi-layer construction uses materials selected to deliver the functionality required by demanding wearers. An outer layer provides a barrier against large particles and droplets. The filter layer uses a purpose-built melt-blown polypropylene membrane to capture small particles and aerosols. Lastly, dual comfort layers help to wick moisture and heat from exhaled air away from the mouth and face. FLTR95 masks undergo a rigorous and continuous quality control and testing process to ensure a consistent, reliable standard. They are produced at internationally certified facilities, tested on state-of-the-art technical equipment at FLTR’s QC department, and verified by independent 3rd party test labs. Since face masks can accumulate airborne particles and moisture over time, FLTR95 masks are intended for single use only and can easily be disposed of after use. Not for medical use. This personal protective mask cannot eliminate the risk of contracting infectious disease. Intended for single use only – discard after use.

  • Tight Face-to-Mask Seal: Cloth and surgical-style masks have gaps at the edges that allow particles to bypass the filter. FLTR95 Sealing Face Masks are designed to seal tightly against the face to reduce leakage and direct inhaled air through the filter membrane to minimize inhaled particles.
  • Polypropylene Filtration: When polypropylene is heated and blown, it forms very thin filaments which bind together in a three-dimensional mesh. Particles are trapped by these filaments as they move through the filter. The result is a highly effective filter with minimal impact on breathability.
  • . Multi-Layer Construction: n An outer layer provides a barrier against large particles and droplets. The filter layer captures small particles and aerosols. And, lastly, dual comfort layers help wick moisture and heat from exhaled air away from the mouth and face.
  • Adjustable Fit: A fully adjustable aluminum nose piece contours to the face to aid in a proper face-to-mask seal. Combined with comfortable elastic ear straps, the FLTR95 mask conforms to a wide variety of face shapes and sizes.
  • Independently Tested Performance: FLTR95 masks undergo a rigorous 3-stage quality control and testing process to ensure consistent, reliable standards. They are produced at internationally certified facilities, tested on state-of-the-art equipment, and verified by independent 3rd party test labs. S
  • Single Use Design: Face masks accumulate airborne particles and moisture over time, which can degrade their performance and comfort. FLTR95 masks are intended for single use only and can easily disposed of after use.

Product Manuals

Q: FLTR, can you, please, provide the link to the FDA or NIOSH website with the proof that these masks are approved?

A: I too was curious upon purchasing, this is what I found. Hope it helps. Remember this product is NOT NIOSH certified. https://www.cdc.gov/niosh/npptl/topics/respirators/disp_part/default.html

Q: How many layers does this mask have? Nowhere in the Overview or in the Specifications does it explicitly give this information.

A: Its 5 layers. There are 2 layers that are bonded at first glance it looks like 4

Q: Can I wear this type under my nose and down below my chin just to give the impression that I care?

A: If one cares they actually wear the mask properly (over nose and over mouth at same time) - just saying….

Q: What standard are these? N95? KN95? Any NIOSH certification?

A: No certification, its just more layers. You can check N95 or KN95 authorized manufacturers online.

Q: Is it safe to wear a cloth mask over a FLTR95 mask?

A: Good day Janie, Thank you for your interest in our FLTR product. We always follow the CDC guidelines. As per their recent update, the secondary mask is to enusre a snug fit and that there is at least two or more amount of layers of covering. If you find the FLTR95 masks provides a snug fit alone then it is not necessary to wear an additional mask as the FLTR95 masks consists of 5 layers of polypropolene. If you are placing an additional mask on please be sure that it is breathable for you.

Q: I purchased these masks to wear at work, after 3 hrs of wear I kept feeling droplets so I removed my mask and saw multiple droplets inside, picture posted. Is this a normal reaction do to the layering? It's too bad the mask doesn't absorb on the inside.

A: Good day Sir/Madam, Thank you for your recent purchase of our FLTR product. Unfortunately we were not able to view the photos that you have posted. In regards to droplets forming it would depend on the individual, and the body's ability to retain moisture in the facial area when covered. Our FLTR95 sealing face mask consist of five layers and provides a tighter seal compared to the three ply general use masks so it does provided a higher level of insulation. I hope this answers your question. Should you have additional questions please kindly contact FLTR customer support.

Q: Is this the same as a KN95 Mask?

A: Do you have published proof of the performance of these matching KN95 standards? If these do in fact pass the same standards, eliminating 95% of particles, then why are these masks not approved by NIOSH?
