A: As reliable as HDDs have been, they're no-longer leading edge. The SSD is faster, uses less power, and when it fails it's usually due to writing, not reading, so if the SSD stops writing, you'll typically be able to recover the data. As far as which lasts longer, I have some Western Digital HDDs that are still working that are older than SSD technology altogether. If you do your research, you'll be hard-pressed to beat SSD with HDD in anything but price. Cheers!

A: The manufacturer includes a USB cable and an adapter so it can be used with Mac laptops with either (old) USB-A or (new) USB-C ports.
A: You can store any kind of file on this that you could put on any other hard drive. So, yes, you can put music on this drive.
Q: Is this hard drive as durable as the images insinuate?
A: Yes it is. I have had mine for awhile, with no damage. I have dropped it several times and spilled coffee on it once. No problems at all using it. I have had no problem with files at all. Best money I have spent for any portable storage unit.
