Q: Venting
A: Hello Moj, This is Michelle with GE and I am happy to help. This microwave model JNM3161DFBB comes from the factory assembled for recirculating (venting inside). However it can be converted to vent externally to the outside. The Installation Instructions that come with the microwave will provide instructions for both venting installations. A: Hi-this is Sue from GE. We are happy to help. The recirculating charcoal filter is included with non-vented models including JNM3161RFSS. The charcoal filter is required for the non-vented exhaust to filter odors. If it was not included, we suggest to contact GE Part & Accessories at 1-877-959-8688 for assistance.
