Q: Can this microwave be vented internally, or must it be externally vented?
A: Hi Jackson- We have great news! The microwave can be vented internally (recirculating). The over-the-range microwave ovens are designed for adaptation to the following three types of ventilation: *Outside exhaust (horizontal). *Outside exhaust (vertical). *Recirculating (non-vented). If the model is converted to recirculating and not vented to the outside, the air will be recirculated through a disposable charcoal filter (included) that helps remove smoke and odors. Upfront charcoal filter with indicator light indicates when the odor-removing charcoal filter needs to be replaced. Thanks for choosing our GE Profile™ Series. Enjoy! SUEatGEA
A: Yes, all 30" Over-the-Range Microwaves are approximately the same width and are designed to fit into a 30" wide cabinet opening. Therefore, any of our current 30" Over-the-Range Microwave models will work as a replacement for an existing 30" Over-the-Range Microwave model. Each Microwave comes with the mounting hardware (mounting bracket, screws, exhaust adapter), top and rear templates, and Installation Instructions needed to complete the installation process. When replacing an Over-the-Range Microwave, the mounting bracket included with the new Microwave should be used since the mounting bracket is specific to each model. The new screws, bolts and exhaust adapter should also be used. The Steam Clean feature generates steam to re-hydrate dried spills and splatters, making it easier to clean the Microwave interior. To use this feature: 1. Press the Steam Clean button. 2. Put in the steam bowl (if one was included with your model) or a microwave safe bowl filled with 1/4 cup of water. 3. Press the dial or Start/Pause button to start. 4. After Steam Clean is done, remove the turntable and turntable support, then wipe out the inside of the oven cavity with a paper towel or soft cloth.
Q: What is sensor cooking vs. convection cooking?
A: Hi Sid, thanks for reaching out! The sensor cooking pads make cooking easy. The sensor cooking pads generally consist some or all the below: CANNED VEGETABLES, FROZEN VEGETABLES, FRESH VEGETABLES, POTATOES, FISH, CHICKEN PIECES, MEAT. - When one of these pads is selected, the oven will automatically cook the specific food at a pre-programmed power level that determines the proper amount of cooking time by sensing the steam that escapes as the food cooks. This feature automatically adjusts the cooking time to various types and amounts of food. - As for convection cooking: In a convection microwave oven, a fan in the rear of the microwave blows air across a heater and directs it into the oven. The turntable will turn when convection cooking with turntable models, including with convection roast. Since this heated air is constantly in motion, it creates even more browning and a higher temperature than a regular thermal oven. - More information about this can be found on the article titled "MICROWAVES WITH CONVECTION CAPABILITY." We hope that this helps! Stay safe. -Michael
