Q: Does this dishwasher have a hard food disposer?

A: I purchased this because of the Piranha food disposer, thinking it would work like my previous KitchenAid. Nope. It has an extremely hard to clean micro mesh filter that has to be cleaned after every wash, or food deposits back on to my dishes and glasswear. It cleans worse than my 18 yr old KitchenAid that it replaced. Thoroughly disgusted.

Q: After the first wash all the walls of the dishwasher were soaked? Dishes were dry... I had to wipe the walls down- why is this happening?

A: Hi Melissa- Thanks for choosing GE! We're happy to hear you in the family. While the dishes should be dry after the Heated Dry cycle, the interior of the dishwasher will not be completely dry and some water remaining in the bottom of the dishwasher after completion of a dry cycle is normal. For best results, make sure inlet water temperature is at least 120°F. Adjust your water heater accordingly. We recommend the use of a rinse agent, such as Finish® Jet-Dry® Rinse Aid designed for great drying action and to protect against spots and film build-up on your dishes, glasses, flatware, cookware, and plastic. Use Wash Temp Boost option. Select a higher cycle, such as Wash Temp Sani, Sanitize Temp or Heavy. Also, this model does have Fan Assist Dry. Leave door closed after the Clean light appears to allow the fan to run an additional 90 minutes. Note: If you open the door, this fan extension will be cancelled. For reference, see page 23 of the Owner's Manual: http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-55119-1.PDF - We hope these tips are helpful. Q: What is the interior tub made out of? The specs say "Other" but it looks like stainless steel.

A: Hi Caroline- GE Model GDT695SSJSS has a Stainless Steel Tub and Door Liner. A website correction request will be sent to BestBuy. Thanks for reaching out to us! SUEatGEA

Q: Are the covers of the cutlery holders (on the bottom shelf) removable?

A: Hi MamaB- Yes, you can remove the covers or flip them up when not needed. Thanks for choosing GE. Enjoy! SUE@GEA

Q: How long does it take to run a load and do the dishes come out dry?

A: 49 minutes for a light load, 75 minutes for a normal load, and 147 minutes for a heavy load. You can select heated dry if you would like, but I usually let the dishes set for about 15 to 20 minutes and everything is dry when I take them out.

Q: I'm confused. I would really like to buy this but I'm not sure about the top panel. How can you use it? Doesn't the lip of the countertop get in the way?

A: Hi there, FrankJr - Great question! When making a cycle selection on the control panel, the door will have to be slightly opened. The cycle will not start until the Start button is pushed and the door is closed within 4 seconds. We hope this helped clear some confusion. Feel free to reach out to us at the "Contact Us" link on our website if you have any other questions. Thanks! -Mikayla@GEA

Q: How many bottle jets does this dishwasher contain?

A: There are 4 along the right side, top rack

Q: My water pressure is very low and it takes a long time for enough water to enter to ensure the dishes will get clean. Does this dishwasher determine water fullness by a float, or by a timer?

A: Hi - Thanks for your interest! The dishwasher has a flood float in the sump area. The flood float signals to the dishwasher when to stop filling. The flood float keeps the dishwasher from overfilling with water. The water pressure to the dishwasher should be 20 - 120 PSI (3/8" O.D. copper water line or 1/2" O.D. plastic water line). Keep in touch! Sue
