Q: What is the letter bc when it stays on refrigerator

A: Hi - The refrigerator has Turbo Cool and Turbo Freeze settings. When either is selected, an extra boost of cold air restores interior to set temperature for optimum food freshness. You will typically see tC in the temperature display when set to TurboCool. It may look like an EC, an upside down F with a C, or something similar. This is not an error code, it is the Turbo Cool (tC) setting. See the following link: http://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16611 - You will typically see 'Ft' in the temperature display when set to Turbo Freeze. It may look like an 'DEF', an upside down FA with an FA, or something similar. This is not an error code, it is the Turbo Freeze (Ft) setting. See the following link: http://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=18299 - Also, for reference, see page 11 of the Owner's Manual: http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60764.pdf - We hope this is helpful. Q: Hi. Where is the ice maker if the french doors are part of the refrigerator and not the freezer? I know the ice comes out of the door but puzzled on the ice maker. How does it stay frozen? Thanks

A: Hi Helcha- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Thanks for viewing! GFE26GSKSS features a space-saving icemaker. The icemaker is located in the fresh food section, on the left fresh food door. The Space Saving icemaker stores 3.8 lbs. of ice that can be dispensed through the ice and water dispenser on the door, or by removing the ice bucket from the door. The icemaker in the door needs cold air from the freezer to operate. There are vents on the left side of the refrigerator that meet up with vents on the side of the icemaker casing on the door. The top vent supplies the icemaker compartment with cold air from the freezer when the door is closed. You may feel cold air coming from the top vent when the door is open. The icemaker area needs air flow, so the bottom vent is for return air. Air from the icemaker air is channeled back into the freezer through this duct. You will not typically feel cold air coming from this vent. We hope this is helpful. Love the look of a stainless steel kitchen? Q: How is it some 36" refrigerators total 22.1 cu FT and others 27.7 cu FT? Is the diff in the height? Where does the extra cu FT come in?

A: Hi Jkc- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Thanks for viewing our French-door Refrigerators! Sometimes you will see two refrigerators with the same exterior dimensions but they have different capacities. We may use the same case; however, the liner is smaller on the model with the smaller capacity. Thanks for checking with us!

Q: Is this a stainless steal "slate" or is it made of something else?

A: Hello JDA - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and I am happy to help you. This is a beautiful refrigerator. The Slate color is a highly engineered, low-gloss matte metallic paint finish and will hold a magnet. The sides and case are Dorian Gray (dark gray). The handles are stainless steel. I hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!

Q: Do you have fingerprint resistant stainless steel appliances? I've heard that is important with stainless.

A: This fridge is not finger print resistant. But it's very handy to just buy stainless steel cleaning wipes.

Q: Do you sell a GE French Door Refrigerator in White (not stainless) that has 27-28 Cubic FT. capacity and what are the dimensions (H-W-D)? Where can I get it near Stockbridge Georgia 30281?

A: I just purchased what you are looking for at Best Buys, Tallahassee FL. It's also available at Lowes, Best Buy and Home Depot. It will most likely have to be ordered

Q: Does this refrigerator come with Dual ice makers, one in the freezer?

A: Hi LZ- This is Sue at GE Appliances. We are excited to hear of your interest! GFE26GSKSS is not available with second icemaker option. We suggest to view the following models in stainless steel with this feature: PYE22KSKSS, GYE22HSKSS, PFE28KSKSS, and GFE28GSKSS. Thanks for checking with us!

Q: what is the capacity of the ice maker and how quickly does it recover.

A: Hello DebAnder - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and I am happy to help you. The icemaker in this refrigerator will make approximately 3.6 pounds of ice per day. The ice bin holds approximately 3.8 pounds of ice. I hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!
