A: Dear Terry - this is Nancy at GE and I am happy to help you. A: Push the "start" on the right-hand side of the panel.
A: There is no "plug" . The connection is made directly from wire to wire into an electrical box. I had to have a 220 box put in behind the Double Oven to facilitate the connection. Previous ovens had a longer (6 ft) "whip" which ran down to the basement and connected to a ceiling electrical box.
Q: will this double oven fit into my 27" wide cabinet?
A: Hi-this is Sue from GE. We appreciate your interest in our GE 27" Built-In Double Wall Oven JK3500SFSS. Yes. Model JK3500SFSS is designed to be installed into a 27" wall cabinet. The Cutout Dimensions are (w x h x d) (in.) 25 x 49-11/16 x 23-1/2. I suggest to view the installation instructions to prepare the opening. I have provided the link for you: http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=31-10856-1.pdf Thanks for checking with us!
A: The install dimensions on the side of the box said 49.8" H X 25.6" W X 23.5" D. It fit perfectly fine into my double oven cabinet which had a hole size of 50" H X 25" W X 24" D. Hopefully this is helpful!
A: Glad to answer- I owned GE Double Ovens purchased in 1990. My # JKP37GOl1WG (WG means White) is different than yours. BUT - Best advice - Call GE Customer Service - Give them YOUR model # and they will give you the model # of the new double ovens that will fit your space. Simple phone call. Mine ended up being 1/4 inch off, but GE offers a Double Oven Guarantee Fit Program where they will reimburse you up to $300 for the fit adjustment costs. (Forms on GE's site.) I'd also like to offer another question for you to ask GE if/when you call. (Maybe they can tell you - it would have save me a lot of headaches and cost.) Ask them what is the length of the "whip" on your old oven. (Yes I never even knew what one was.) GE's new ovens only have a 3 foot "whip". The whip on my older ovens was 6 foot. If your new one is different in length from what you have - you will need electrical adjustments. These two questions to GE before hand will save you tons of trouble.
A: Hi Lou- No, wall ovens are not equipped to be vented to the outside. The oven vent is located below the door. Love the look of a stainless steel kitchen?
