Uses too much power!!!
|Posted .Owned for 2 months when reviewed.Features
Quality3 out of 5Value1 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Cons mentioned:For summer, SmellIt does what it’s supposed to. The size was perfect for the laundry room. In Florida, it can get humid inside the house and anything we hang dry can get mildewy smell if moisture isn’t controlled. I saw that the power bill went up a lot recently. So I bought smart power readers for the three dehumidifiers we have in the house. Two big and one small. I was VERY surprised at how much power this thing uses! I have two bigger F-brand dehumidifiers that use about 60-70 watts when in use. On average this thing uses about 5.8 kWh on a typical day. When I removed this dehumidifier from service and plugged in the bigger one in the same location, it used average of 0.55 kWh in a day. That’s 10% of what this thing uses! Ridiculous! Instantaneous reading was between 370-500+ Watts which is terrible efficiency! This thing should come with a big yellow energy use guide tag!

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Ease of useFirst of all, this system is so easy to use I never even opened the instructions. Plug it in, check the tub, wait for the fill light, and dump. I live right in front of a pond and it was 90% humidity!!! This machine is a life saver. 10 minutes is all it took for it to take it from 70% humidity in my house to 50%!!! The accuracy of this machine is outstanding as well. I tested it with a reptile humidity gage. This machine is great for a big apartment with open space, or a smaller house. My fiancé and I have bad asthma and if we didn’t have this machine we’d be coughing flem up and drowning with how bad it’s been. Spend the money, get the machine. WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!

Solid item for a great value
|Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5We recently moved into our new house which has a finished basement. We had noted that the previous owner had a dehumidifier and thought it best to do the same. I first ordered something smaller on Amazon but returned the item as we felt it was not gathering enough water after working for 24hr. We decided to get this one instead as it was in stock near us and had a solid review rating. We were not disappointed. Just overnight we could feel a slight difference in the air and had a nice amount of water accumulated in the tank. We now keep it on the smart setting and feel like the air is a lot better: no more “coldish” dampness! Also a nice plus is the fact that you do not hear the unit when it is on! For information we have two finished rooms in the basement that total about 400sqft and this dehumidifier does a perfect job.

Best dehumidifier ever !!
|Posted .Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I live in a bottom floor apartment, about 850 Sqft. A lot of my things started getting covered with mold and I ended up breaking down to buy this dehumidifier. BEST. DEHUMIDIFIER. EVER. !! I know it’s $200, but it is SOOO worth it. With in the first HOUR it collected so much water I was blown away. It tells you the humidity level where it’s sitting (mine was 70% yesterday) and it’s down to 30% now in less than a day. I also like that it was super straight forward to use. You literally just plug it up and it’s ready to go. The only thing I was confused about is how the little wheels for the bottom of it were put it inside of the water catcher. So when I went to empty it, I didn’t notice the wheels till later. Other than that, 10/10 recommend. You will not regret it and it’s worth every penny. The air feels so different in here now and I’m glad I got this.

Everything I could ask for...
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Perfect for my medium-sized Florida apartment. I use it to take the edge off the humidity in my one bedroom apartment. I’m not a big fan of using the AC all the time, so this works just fine. It’s not noisy, it’s easy to control, move, and clean. Empties from the front, and I use the accumulated water for my plants. Highly recommend...

68 Dry Degrees much different than 68 Damp Ones
|Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Bought for basement recreation room. Who knew Buffalo would get a short heat wave of hot and humid air for Memorial Day? Was still wearing a hoodie and sweats when in the basement until now, Ran the dehumidifier for just a few hours and the difference was noticeable. Same temperature, but there was no damp chill. Like it's compact design, but maybe should have gone bigger capacity for the room size. Have to empty 3-4 times per day. That's on me me, not the product.

works ok, some design problems imo

Quality4 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use2 out of 5This is not my first dehumidifier and it works fine and is pretty quiet. I wish it were a bit bigger - but I get exercise at least (it is in the basement). My only complaints are that 1. I wish they had designed one corner as a pour spout to more easily empty the water into containers and 2. I wish the bottom water compartment was easier to remove - there really aren't handles on the sides, you need to pull it out onto floor and then pick it up. Good value for the price I guess.

Q: QuestionWhere is this made
Asked by Tj.
- A:Answer This dehumidifier was made in CHINA. The information in these Questions and Answers that it was made in the USA is wrong. Like most things made in CHINA it does have a U.S. address on the box but the box also clearly says MADE IN CHINA.

Q: QuestionIf placed in the basement of a small ranch style house, will it dehumidify the whole house?
Asked by Marko.
- A:Answer No. The dehumidifier works best in a closed space. It might keep your basement dry but won't dehumidify the rest of the house.

Q: QuestionI purchased one and am having difficulty installing the casters. Do they get forced into the center of the circular projections on the bottom? The instructions say to follow the arrows and I don't see any arrows.
Asked by Phil.
- A:Answer The casters require a lot of pressure to get them to seat fully into their slots. We had the dehumidifier on its side. I found that applying a little lubricant (soap, wax, oil) on the caster "rod" helped a little. It really was quite difficult to get them snapped into place. My son and I struggled with this step for a while. This minor issue aside, the unit works really well!
