Q: How does the linking work? Do you have to run a hard wire to contiguous and non-contiguous lights? If so, what type of wire is required?

A: Hi Klutz, thank you for your question. Our GE Motion-Sensing LED Under Cabinet Fixture uses a linking cord (included in the package) to connect additional fixtures. The fixture should be plugged directly into the wall outlet. There is no hardwiring required. Q: How long does this light stay on once it is motion-activated?

Q: Is it battery power or 110 v?

Q: Is there a way to increase the linkage distance beyond the 18" the cord supplied is? The instructions say the maximum distance between units is 18 inches.

Q: The description for this product says that the distance for the motion sensor to work is 3 feet, but the instructions with the unit specify 3 inches. The one I purchased only works from 3 inches. is there a way to increase sensitivity to make it 3 feet?

Q: I want to use the linkable feature so all the lights come on at the same time. What fixture do I need to add to the link cable? The same model or a different one? If it is the same model, will any of the motion detectors on any of the units activate all?

Q: Re: accent vs task lighting. Once one is selected, how do you change it? Can motion detector be used to activate accent lighting, and manually change it to task lighting? How would this work?
