Geek Squad® - TV and Video Setup

Sure, I could have probably done everything that the Geek Squad did on my own if I wanted to spend an entire day on it but I'm not sure I would have saved much money. We had a huge old TV that no one is their right mind would want and we would have had to pay to recycle it. They came right on time and called on the day of delivery for final confirmation. They both were very friendly and set up the TV in under 10 minutes. After that, they went through the basic hookups and did the basic programming. There is nothing fancy here but I guess it could be helpful if you don't know how to do it yourself. But the real value is that they took our MASSIVE old TV and will recycle it. In my opinion, this combined with basic delivery are worth the price. In summary, even if you know how to setup a TV, this service is worth it if you: 1) Have a big old TV that no one wants and needs to be recycled 2) Need delivery of your TV

After getting home from Best Buy after buying a new LCD TV Though I maybe I got hooked on the set up service? After all just how hard could it be? I did my old TV and DVD and surround sound myself with old TV. I was wrong both gentlemen came to my apt. on time. Went right to work checking on what was to be done and what was needed. In short when they were done (in short time) I was impressed how professional they both were everything was hooked up and working even after they had trouble with my VCR combo in short order found it was a bad tape. From their everything else worked just fine. They were neat and did a fine job of putting all the cable into a very neat looking set up. Then took the time to show me how it all would work asked if I had any questions. In short a great job.

Having Geeksquad set up my new flat screen TV was totally worth it. Yes, I could have hooked it up myself, but would have been clueless as to calibrating it. In addition, if they screw it up, its covered. If I screw it up, its not. They arrived on-time, were friendly and helpful, unpacked the TV and attached the screen portion to the base, hooked up all the cords, calibrated it, and showed me how to use the remote and menus, which were different than with my old TV. -An additional benefit: they took my old TV, which was too heavy for me to deal with by myself. The peace of mind was totally worth the price.

We've tried ourselves and hired professionals twice before to set-up our TV/DVD/VCR player/recorder and cable service so it all works together. We've been trying for over a year with no luck. What we needed wasn't unusual or tricky - just beyond our level. Finally the Geek Squad came through and got it all connected and working like it should. They were on-time, professional, quick and helpful. Thank you!

The Geek Squad set up my Samsung LCD. I know this would have taken me hours to figure out and spoiled my day if I had tried to do it myself. They carried off my old CRT and got rid of all the cardboard packaging too. Programmed my remote and showed me the commands. Cabled up my HD DVD player. They were done in about fifteen minutes. This was so worth the 150 to save the pain in my *ss. Highly recommend.

nice guy was early but was pretty quickly done. left all packaging which was supposed to be removed. didnt explain how to set anything. didn't tie up back wires like i was told he would.

I purchased a new TV and couldn't decide whether to utilize the geek squad set up service or not. Well, I did and I am very glad that I did. I'm not very tech savvy and probably could have figured everything out but it was well worth the money to have the guys do it right and quickly. When they were through - my TV was set up perfectly - the old TV disposed of - and I was on the couch enjoying my new purchase. Thanks guys!

i purchased my new samsung '32 television back in feb along with the $99 geek squad installation. jeremy, the tech that came out was great. he was very nice & courteous. the installation process took about 30-45mins. he programmed the tv, made sure everything was working properly & cleaned the area that he was working in before he left. i definitly recommend the geek squad installation service. it's well worth the cost
