A: Yes any recipe can be used in it! Love mine!
Q: Is the lid gasket as flimsy as it looks?
A: I don’t think so. As with any pressure cooker, the gasket will inevitably need to be replaced, but despite its lack of sturdiness, the gasket works fine and because it can easily be removed (and replaced when the time comes), cleaning the cooker is a snap.
Q: does this pressure cooker have a function to do slow cook? Is it able to sear meat?
A: Yes it does have a slow cook function. Yes, you can sear meat using the saute function

A: Both serve the exact same purpose and have the same functions. The recipes are interchangeable.
A: Yes, the only difference is that the instantpot has a bare stainless steel inner pot and the inner pot in this one is teflon coated.
