Description
The Harry Potter franchise shaped an entire generation, becoming a part of our pop culture practically overnight. The storyline that cast a spell on our imaginations is one that millions of people wish they could really live in and be a part of. We became engrossed in the wizarding world and found ourselves wondering what it would be like to cast the spell that defeats a terrifying, soul-sucking monster or how it would feel to fly through the air with nothing but a broomstick to carry you. We asked ourselves if we would have the quick wit, bravery and honor of Harry, Ron and Hermione when it comes down to intense and brutal battles of magic. With Harry Potter for Kinect, you can stop wondering and jump right into the storybook for a timeless adventure that gives you the chance to briefly become the wizard you've always dreamed of.Enter the world of witchcraft and wizardry by creating your very own wizarding character in your likeness for the first time ever, thanks to the Kinect's amazing face-scanning technology. Harry Potter for Kinect lets you dive into the most unforgettable moments from all eight films, including choosing a wand at Ollivander's, dodging the wild branches of the Whomping Willow, being sorted as a first-year Hogwarts student and battling for survival against the terrible power of You-Know-Who. Utilize the power of the Kinect to feel what it's really like to pursue the snitch on the Quidditch pitch and cast spells, brew potions and hone your dueling skills to unlock lessons and challenges. Think on your feet and gather your courage as the Kinect movement- and voice-recognition technology reads your performance of the proper casting maneuvers and spell names to take down your opponents. You've entered the Harry Potter universe, now feel the magic with the help of Kinect.

Gameplay is enjoyable, but when making potions the kinect doesn't register some of the finer movements resulting in potion failure. I would still recommend to any Harry Potter fan as it just takes a while to get the potion making class done.

Finished it in two days. For the price, it should have had 3 times the amount of stages!
