A: I have the same problem. I removed the bucket and held the fill switch so the unit would run. The water did not exit the unit by the drain hose but on the opposite side. Something is amiss in the sealed part of the unit.
A: Could someone at hisense please answer this ?i am experiencing the same issue.
Q: what do i do to get a dh-70kpisle de humidifier to auto drai thru hose
A: We bought a Hisense 70 P yesterday at Lowes and it would only fill the bucket and stop. After looking at it carefully, we very slightly tilted it backward with a 1/4" spacer underneath the plastic center so front wheels are off ground and it is working perfectly. The drain hole for the water hose is further back than the one for the tank. Hope that helps you.
A: I'm on my second with the pump. The first one stopped working via pump after about 6 months. The replacement (refurb) stops pumping and the bucket fills up. Hisense started ignoring when I told them the replacement isn't working. WILL NEVER buy another one of their products again and will spread the word!
A: Hi Peachie, all Hisense dehumidifier models are able to use a garden hose for gravity-assisted drainage. In this configuration, the bucket does not need to be manually emptied periodically. To attach the garden hose, the bucket needs to be removed, then install the garden hose, and replace the bucket in the dehumidifier. The water will then drain through the garden hose, and not into the bucket. Another option is to purchase a model with a built-in internal pump. One note, if your fishing cabin isn't well closed to outside air, the dehumidifier may run more, perhaps never reaching the humidity set point. To ensure efficient use of the dehumidifier, it's best if the space is well closed off from outside air. If you have any further questions, please contact us at 1-877-465-3566.
A: When this happens you have to turn off the unit to allow the ice to melt and then remove the filter. In reality the unit should not be icing up. Usually this is a signal that something is wrong with the unit. I called about this for another dehumidifier brand and they advised me to set the humidity to 55 percent. What this does is allow the compressor to run less frequently and maybe avoid creating ice, which it shouldn't do anyway. Plus your really want humidity in the 45-50 percent range. Icing is only supposed to happen if the surrounding area is cool, say less than the high 40s. Some even have heaters, which deice to prevent buildup. So in a properly working unit this shouldn't happen unless you have it set very low humidity and the compressor runs constantly and there's no deicer.
A: Yes, the pump should drain the bucket regardless of the configuration.
