    It is Perfect

I am beyond thrilled with the performance of the Hisense L9H120 Laser TV. I have had my unit setup for over 1 month, and it has been flawless, and a frequent destination for me and the family in our home. We love the 100% immersive experience of a 10 foot screen that pulls you in! I have been watching and wanting this unit for well over 1.5 years, since its original announcement, and I have been keeping close tabs on purchasing this projector, including setting price alerts. The price for performance is excellent, especially after a significantly discounted sale price. The picture quality is stunning! The view is amazing in our light controlled media room. The tri-laser performance is spectacular, and the brightness and HDR quality is on point and rivals even my 77 OLED Evo panel TV. Color and contrast is impeccable. The image clarity is stunning even with fast action scenes, no noticable blur or other artifacts. It is an impressive experience and a joy to watch, and often evokes an emotional response, I have at times experience bodily anxiety with how immersive the viewing content is! We use this Android OS TV for watching everything. One of the most important considerations for me to future-proof was having an ATSC 3.0 Nextgen tuner. A tuner is not a feature usually found in a projector, let alone a Nextgen tuner, but it is in this "Laser TV" and it is an awesome feature. It was a very important consideration for me in making my purchase toward this projector as opposed to the previous generation model. OTA Nextgen TV broadcasts are expanding, and offer additional features and quality with more coming. Future proofing now for this transition was well worth it, and we utilize this feature regularly! Additionally content streaming from any of the popular streaming platforms, or watch UHD 4K Blu-ray movies via a connected gaming console is easily accessible on this product. Airplay and casting is a breeze, and the Android operating system is very responsive and easy to navigate. I really enjoy the Android TV experience, and numerous apps are available in the Google Play Store found in Settings-->Apps-->System Apps. The included remote is simplified, responsive, and easy to use. The 40W built-in audio with Atmos from the projector provides a surprisingly great standalone audio experience. I often use the built in audio for TV viewing or when trying to not disturb the family, or when just viewing without a commitment. The projector supports eArc, optical, WISA, and Bluetooth, so there is a lot of options for more committed listening experiences for the full theater experience with separates, I highly recommend this path, and wouldn't recommend a sound bar with this projector, as I think the built-in audio likely revivals most soundbars. Your room, needs, and setup will be different than my own however. The included fixed 120" Ambient Light Rejecting screen (ALR) screen is beautiful, and very high quality. Combined with this projector it is a perfect match and provides excellent contrast and brightness, increasing the overall viewing quality. I elected to stand my screen off the wall several inches, so I could keep a couple wall sconces on the wall behind the screen, and not have to relocate or remove them. In full disclosure, there is a slight light bleed through the screen only when there is no image being projected, however with an image projected, you cannot see the light bleed through at all, and I have a nice warm ambient glow from behind the screen now. So while there is some light transparency, the screen is not rated for acoustic transparency, but it may provide some limited success if this is your only option for audio, but I haven't tried this, nor would I recommend. The item ships in a large overpack box, inside is a large box containing the frame and screen, and below that is a separate box containing the projector itself. They are very well protected and arrived safe, even with my outerpack box receiving lots of damage from the shippers handling. I would suggest professional installation. I am very particular and handy, so I chose the DIY approach, but it was a bit time consuming and stressful with concern for any accidental damage. Assembly was pretty straightforward. The instructions are pretty good, having only left me with minor question at a couple steps, that I seemed to figure out on my own. You start by assembling the frame for the included ALR 120" screen. The frame is very high quality, fitment and assembly is straightforward, and it is sturdy. There is a LOT of hardware, and by hardware I mean a LOT of screws and a reasonable amount of reinforcement brackets for the frame to assemble. Assembling and working with this large frame needs a lot of space for assembly, and a clean area. A lot of care is needed when you start to work with the screen, and it will require two persons to roll the screen out and set the frame on it, to prevent damaging the screen permanently. Once the assembled screen is done, it will take some precise measurements to ensure you mount the wall brackets on the wall in the correct location based on the position of the stand of your choosing used for the projector. Be sure you take measurements in advance to ensure your projector stand is low enough to provide frame clearance at the top of your wall. There is NOT a lot of flexibility with a fixed focal lens to get the position correct, the projectors position and screen location are very much tied to one another! The assembled frame/screen simply sets onto the two wall mounted brackets and will require two people to hang the frame off these brackets to prevent damaging the screen. Aligning the image onto the screen takes a little bit of work. The process isn't intuitive and following the user manual instructions will greatly help in squaring your image up nicely to fill the full screen and provide the optimal picture quality (in-focus). There is minimal adjustment maybe 1-2" up and down available in the mounting brackets to adjust the screen up and down to help with alignment or mounting discrepancy, so precision is required in mounting. Overall, I 100% recommend this setup. I honestly have zero complaints about this products performance or usability! It is immersive and exactly what I wanted for our home theater/media room. The picture subjectively rivals even my LG 77 OLED, it is perfect.

    Great projector

I've had this UST for about 5 months now and have been really impressed. The picture is great and has plenty of brightness. The Google TV integration is also a major plus for me. It does take a bit of effort to setup and align properly but the instructions are pretty good. I bought a new house and had a rear projector in my old house. It's really nice not having the projector hanging down from the ceiling in the back of the room.
