Q: Would this monitor work well with a Macbook Pro?
A: Yes, with a USB C to HDMI adapter, it works great. I am using mine right now with my 2018 MacBook Pro.
Q: Can this monitor be raised and lowered?
A: Unfortunately, no.
Q: how do you connect the monitor to the laptop
A: You can use an HDMI or VGA cable. It has two HDMI ports and comes with one 5 foot HDMI cable in the box.
Q: does this have built in speakers?
A: No, this one doesn't.
A: First, the disclaimer, let me say that I maybe wrong with what I am about to say. Also I am assuming like me, your HP 27f has only one VGA and two HDMI ports. There are no other monitor port interfaces. Since the VGA & HDMI ports on the monitors appear to be configured for input only, it appears that daisy chaining one monitor directly to another is out of the question. However, I have two possible suggestion. If your PC has multiple HDMI ports and/or VGA port(s) and/or HDMI configurable HDMI ports vis-a-via and adapter, you can connect your monitors directly to your PC. If you have only one HDMI port, you can buy an HDMI splitter which takes one HDMI input and splits it into two HDMI outputs. Note: be careful of the splitter you use. Besure the splitter has either a compatible USB or an electrical plug in for additional power. In either case when complete the plug-in, the operatiing system, for example Windows under SETTING>DISPLAY will give you the option of the second monitor as an extension or a copy of the first monitor. Again, these are my findings. Someone else may have some other thoughts and techniques. BTW: I connected my HP to a Dell, different size monitors and it appears to have worked. Good Luck!
