Q: is the memory upgrade-able?
A: No. This is a tablet, not a laptop. I haven't seen a tablet yet that you can access the memory cards to give it more RAM. If it says 2 GB that's what you get. You would have to purchase a different tablet that cames with 4GB of memory if that is what you want..
Q: Is the price so affordable because the battery life is short?
A: The HP 10-k020nr should have up to 11 hours and 45 minutes. Actual battery life will vary depending on configuration and maximum capacity will naturally decrease with time and usage.
Q: To charge the screen, must it be attached to the base?
A: You should not have to be attached to the keyboard to charge the HP 10-k020nr.
