A: Usually this means one of the factory components failed and the item was returned to the retailer. The retailer provided a refund or exchange on the spot and the unit was returned eventually to the manufacturer. The manufacturer diagnosed and replaced the component and returned it to market with a "refurbished" title attached. Sometimes these are bulk leased items, so that could account for some wear and tear. Cosmetic damage is typically not an item of concern in returning the item to market unless it effects the overall function of the product.
Q: Is this an adequate computer for my kid to game on? i.e. is it 64 bit?
A: It really depends on the game. Do be aware this computer was released over 10 years ago. To really be able to handle games you would need a model with a dedicated GPU.
Q: dose it come with the cable to plug it into the wall?
A: Yes, it comes with the power cable.
Q: How does this work with vedio and photos.... Is it able to take a graphics card for an upgrade?
A: I appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us. Since this model has been refurbished I cannot be sure that it has the original equipment installed and unfortunately am not able to answer your question.
Q: How much dedicated video memory does it have?
A: I appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us. Since this model has been refurbished I cannot be sure that it has the original equipment installed and unfortunately am not able to answer your question.
A: Good question. It does not have an HDMI port. It only has 1 VGA port. I hope this helps.
Q: How much ram does the motherboard hold
A: The motherboard is expandable to 8 Gigs RAM. from what I can find. this was an issue of mine too because I would be installing 64 on it instead of the 32.
