Still one of the best Android phones on the market
||Posted .The Nexus 6P was always a great Android device that is as quick as they get, super smooth, and has a very nice feel to it. Now with Android Nougat/7.0, it's even quicker than the latest Samsung Note 7 flagship, and has fantastic battery standby time compared to previous versions of Android. It's camera us very good, and the slower HDR processing has been resolved with N too. The only reasons I wouldn't give this phone 5 stars is that it doesn't have Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), which makes a bug negative difference for video recording, and that it's metal frame can easily get damaged compared to stronger, series 7000 aluminum found in most flagships. It's also very big for its screen size, but it's stereo, front facing speakers make up for that.

Great buy, great smartphone camera
||Posted .Bought it when it was on sale. I use this with project fi and it works great. Bluetooth connects fast, no issue connecting with any of my Bluetooth enabled devices. Camera is excellent, I've used it mostly for taking photographs of nature while I'm out hiking. Screen size was a bit large for my petite hands but I'm getting used to it.

Best smartphone of 2015
Posted .This is hands down the best smartphone on the market. It is the epitome of Android devices with no lag, no slowing down, and great battery life, thanks to the pure, vanilla, stock, Android. The fast-charging is extremely convenient and the battery life is superb, with more than enough for a full day on each full charge, especially thanks to Doze. The build quality of the phone is amazing. It's sturdy, strong, and no, it has not bent. The camera is great for low-light shots and a huge improvement over last year's Nexus 6. The size really isn't that bad, either. Another great thing is the super quick fingerprint sensor which is placed in the perfect position. Overall, Androids as a whole finally have a flagship phone which Google can show off and use as an example for the perfect Android phone. This is finally an Android phone that is to Android as iPhones are to iOS, and if you're thinking of going from iOS to Android, this is the phone to get.

Excellent phone; great bang for the buck!
||Posted .TLDR: Had the phone for about a month, and overall, very pleased with it. No regrets at all. The best feature of this phone has got to be the lack of bloatware that the carriers require on their phones along with the frequent security updates that Google releases. If you like to have more control over your phone - then this is the one to get. Size: It is a little bigger than the other "flagship" phones, which can be good if you stick it in your back pocket - you won't forget that it's there when you sit down. Also, great for web browsing. Camera: The camera takes great photos (certainly better than my previous S4 and S5) - though you may want a camera app that does a bit more than the one that comes installed. You'll also need a app for photo management since there is no "Gallery" (the CM QuickPic is a good one). Charging: It uses the new USB-C connector - so if you have a bunch of the older micro USB chargers - I'd recommend getting a 4 pack or so of the MicroUSB adapters (no fast charge support, but for night time charging who cares). You'll also want to keep one with you since not everyone has the USB-C cable. Though it certainly holds a charge for the whole day and then some. For more information on the faulty MicroUSB adapters, google "Benson Leung usb-c" Storage: Depending on how much you store, I'd recommend getting at least the 64GB model - since this phone does not have microSD card support. This is the only real negative - even if I never use all the space - the option for expanded storage should always be available. Case: Get one. This one came with the slim Speck grip case. Works great. Other observations: If you use Verizon - It appears that the Visual Voicemail feature is not compatible with the Google Messenger app, so had to stick to basic VM notification. Also, the Verizon Cloud app does not work - so you won't be able to restore any items you backed up using that app on a Verizon carrier phone. There are plenty of free apps you can use to directly transfer over the same information though. There are some specific VZ Apps for the Nexus 6p and if you also have FIOS their app works so you can stream TV to your phone. Finally, it's worth mentioning that Verizon now charges $20 when you add one of their phones to your plan, but if you provide one of your own (like the Nexus 6p) - then no fee. If you want a great phone for a price that won't break the bank, but give you all the features of phones costing $300 more, then get the Nexus 6p.

Awesome Phablet, expect drama on Verizon
||Posted .Reviewers much tech-ier than me have given more complete reviews, so I'll keep it to the layperson's POV. My Samsung Galaxy S5 shattered so I decided, instead of going to S6 (or S7, soon to launch), I'd go Google Nexus 6P. It's huge compared to the S5, but you get used to it very quickly. Battery life is great, camera is great and obvi VIP support from Google. HOWEVER...warnings to those of you who are on VZW, which I insist upon, as I live in San Francisco (ATT sucks in SF). First, know that it absolutely does work on VZW, but comes with some drama, whereas the Samsung (and other Android devices, I'm sure) do not have. 1) VZW does not support Visual Voice Mail on the 6P, that really ticks me off, Verizon; thus, your workaround is a pain through Google Voice install; 2) MMS is very unreliable if you're also OTP, SMS is no issue, but for some reason, MMS does not come through sending or receiving, until you're off the phone; thus, your workaround is Google Hangouts install 3) VZW sends you this gibberish text every time you get a voice mail, which you either have to just live with as basically the notification alert and ignore the nonsensical text itself, or you have to spend a looooong time with VZW customer (un)service and even then, it's a crapshoot that the person knows how to turn these annoying texts off. Bottom line: this is a fantastic phablet, highly recommend; but anticipate a number of frustrations if you're on Verizon Wireless until they can get their act together and decide to support Nexus 6P (whereas other carriers like ATT are already doing). This is an awesome device!

Amazing performance, poor quality parts
Posted .I have owned the 6P for 4 months now. I was extremely satisfied with this phone until the volume rocker button dented simply from pressing on it. Let me say that again, I pressed the volume up portion of the rocker and it left a crease in the button metal! The phone was always kept in a protective case, was never dropped was handled with care. Although I was disappointed at first, I didn't think this would be a big deal until I was out of town on business and the battery died as I was arriving at the airport. I gave the phone a quick charge and tried to power it back on. NOPE! Since the volume rocker was creased it was apparently causing the phone's boot menu to run on power up. I could not get the phone past this menu no matter how hard I tried. This caused me quite a few problems. Lucky for me I was on my way back home instead of just leaving to go out of town. This led me to research the problem online. To my surprise this is a well documented problem experienced by MANY 6P owners. I had to contact Huawei for warranty support. The process was quick, but rather odd. They immediately asked me to email them a photo of the damage. I sent the photo and I received multiple, somewhat confusing communications back from them. One of them being a RMA number and then another was for a UPS shipping label. I packed my phone up and sent it back to Huawei for review. It has only been a few days, so I have no idea how this will turn out. I suspect they will either repair the button or send me a refurbished phone. Either way it is a bad situation to be in. I had to get a loaner phone to use during this process and that wouldn't be too bad if it wasn't for the process involved to have my work email added to a device (painful). I really liked the phone until this happened, but I am not sure it is worth the hassle when you run into a problem not to mention the buttons should never be made of material that can bend so easily. I would avoid all Huawei phones until they can prove they build better phones.

Wonderful Device for the Unlocked Phone User
||Posted .This is a great device if you want pure unadulterated Android. Great specs, although behind on the latest S7 I know that I'll get the most up to date OS updates which makes up for it. Images taken with the 6P match the iPhone 6s and Samsung S6/Note 5/S7 in quality, all my images have been great! A first for the Nexus line. The looks of the device are wonderful, face it we want our phone to look good if sales of the 6S, S6, Note 5, G4, and S7 are not proof enough. This flagship Nexus can stand side by side with those models and stand out on its own in the looks department. No QI charger, but the USB-C connector has made me forget all about the wireless charging. It is wicked fast, and keeping the screen off makes it charge even faster. This is also the closest you can get to a phone that can go to any carrier ala iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s. Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Simple, Tracphone, Metro PCS, you name it it supports it. It was my decision maker as I can swap sims when I travel or jump on another carrier if I decided to. This is true freedom and I love it. So if you are on the fence, just jump on over and join the Nexus family. You'll enjoy the best that Google has to offer and always be up to date with the Android platform.

Top level performace for mid level cost
||Posted .I have used the 6P for about a month now and I am very impressed. This phone has done everything I have asked of it and hasn't hiccupped even once. Phone call quality: Good. Cell and WIFI reception: Good. Camera quality: Excellent. I am especially impressed with it's low light photo quality! Battery life: Decent to good. It lasts at least the whole day, sometimes two days, if I'm not using it excessively. Only once or twice have I needed to charge it before day's end. The good news is it charges very fast. I can get a full charge in less than an hour and a half. And a 15 minute charge gives it a good boost. I like the larger screen size. It took a little getting used to carrying and holding a larger phone, but it fits in my pocket ok and I've adjusted to handling it, so all in all it's a good thing. Btw the screen image is really good. Sharp and clear. Natural, yet vivid and pleasing color. No noticeable degradation with off angle viewing. You can set it manually to any brightness you want or select adaptive mode that adjusts to whatever light you're in. Bright sunshine is a bit of a challenge for adaptive mode, but you can manually adjust it brighter if you need to. The audio quality through the built-in speakers is good for a smartphone, but let's be real: if you want good sound you'll have to use other speakers. I'm happy to report that, unlike the newest iphone, the 6P still has a headphone jack that easily and inexpensively allows you to connect to headphones and other audio systems for quality listening. I'm not a gamer so you'll have to read other reviews for their input, but this phone has effortlessly handled music, videos, web surfing, tons of "Ok Google" queries, Android Auto, and oh yeah, phone calls effortlessly. It's a definite keeper for me, and I would recommend it to anyone. It's hard to explain, but this phone operates with a smoothness and effortlessness that makes me feel like it's capable of handling much more than I will ever throw at it. It is a well made, quality phone.

Q: Questionwill this phone work in israel?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer It will work, but you may not get LTE signal if those areas that the Nexus 6P doesn't support. If you plan to use the phone other than the US, I would recommend you purchase the International version instead. You'll be able to make phone calls and such with the US version, but you may not have LTE data. If you dont plan to use any CDMA carriers (such as verizon or sprint), the international model will work with GSM carriers (such as AT&T and T-Mobile).

Q: QuestionIs the camera up to the latest Samsung phone?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes. Especially in low light. Don't go purely by the megapixels. The image processing, as well as the size of the pixels makes it a great choice. You may find the HDR+ a tab bit slower, but you'll also find yourself using it rarely, since the default mode is great.
