BUYER BEWARE! Read this review before purchasing!
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.TLDR: Despite not indicating it in their warranty information on the Hyperice site, apparently they will not send you a replacement for a defective unit, even when purchased from an authorized retailer like Best Buy. The best they will offer is to have the unit serviced if you ship it to them. A lengthy and inconvenient process. So if you still want to give the Hypervolt a try, or any Hyperice product for that matter, I suggest you purchase it directly from their website so that you can avoid the headache I'm dealing with now, after only a few weeks of ownership! Well, the Hyperice Hypervolt Plus was the absolute best massager I've purchased...for the first month of owning it... It's powerful, smooth running , and really quiet compared to any other heavy duty handheld percussion massager I've owned (and being a sufferer of Chronic pain and illness, I've tried many over the years). It was a life-changing experience at first. So much relief of pain, soreness and stiffness. So, after a few weeks I started experiencing some odd behavior with the battery and battery life degraded surprisingly quickly. Average run times became much shorter and I experienced problems with both the battery gauge on the unit and the rgb led ring on the battery itself. Then the unit started making an odd noise coming from the motor. A strange scratchy sound from within. Then i noticed that the unit and battery started getting much warmer than usual. This all developed towards the second half of first month of ownership. Too late to return to Best Buy (only 15 day return policy) for a replacement. I thought it was ridiculous that this massager I just paid $477 for (bundled with the carrying case) was already malfunctioning. I figured surely this is my bad luck striking again. I received a defective unit and hopefully Hyperice will make it right, send me a replacement, and all will be well. Boy, was I wrong... I reached out to customer service, only to discover that unlike MANY other companies out there, Hyperice doesn't seem to care if you bought one of their products from an authorized retailer, such as Best Buy! There's nothing I could find on their website saying that they can't send you a replacement unless you purchased it directly from their website, but that's what a customer service agent told me. The best they could offer me was to have me ship it out to them and have them perform repairs on it. I explained how this would be a massive inconvenience for me. Im disabled. I spend most of my days stuck in bed, in pain. Having a reliable massager often dictates how my day will go. Some days I can't even get out of bed until my wife helps massage away the intense pain and soreness. I can't afford to be without a massager for the duration of time it takes to send the unit out, wait for them to recieve and repair it, and then send it back to me! I gotta have a working massager. I don't even own a backup unit right now. The response I received was unflinching and sounded very rehearsed. They wouldn't even take into consideration how quickly this expensive unit ceased to function properly. Couldn't offer any better resolution. Because "that's our policy." I think they need to elaborate on the warranty details on the website then. I don't see anything in the details saying they can only do replacements if you purchased directly from them. This is a frustrating situation for me. Part of me really hates having to leave such a poor review, because while the Hypervolt was functioning properly it really gave me more relief than any other massager I've used in the last 20 years. I guess that's why im so utterly frustrated over this, because I felt like my lengthy quest for a reliable massager was finally over, and now my hopes abd dreams have been dashed once again. So if you want to give their products a try, I suggest you order directly from them in order to avoid the massive headache that im dealing with now.

Do Not Buy
||Posted .Owned for 8 months when reviewed.I purchased this device less than a year ago. It is now giving me problems. It worked great for 7 months before it stopped working. The device does not turn on. This is unacceptable for a product that costs over 300 dollars. I will not buy this brand again.

Love it !
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Well, worth the price paid at Best Buy ! It was more online at the manufacturer’s website then at Best Buy. So, know your prices. Also, be careful there is or was a scam website that looked like the Hyperice/Hypervolt so make sure your on the right website before paying. My Hypervolt Plus is amazing but the blue tooth app is not something I use daily. The app does help you in massaging target areas after certain workouts which is useful. Love the all black look too ! 5 Stars ⭐️

BEST PERCUSSION INSTRUMENT ON THE MARKET!
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This massage gun is has got to be the best percussion instrument I’ve ever used! It’s extremely quiet, especially on the lowest setting so I don’t need to adjust the noise level of my voice to carry on a conversation. The stroke length is significantly deeper than the of the standard hypervolt, allowing for deeper muscle tissue penetration, which for me as a daily weightlifter, is extremely necessary for optimal recovery! I have extremely tight hips from weightlifting and the tightness in my hips tends to put a strain on my lower back. I do tons of stretching, which definitely help, but the hypervolt, allows me to get so deep into crevices of my muscles that I normally would never be able to reach, and I even I could reach, couldn’t apply that much pressure in the way it performs. It’s becomes such a crucial component in my recovery process, not just for muscle recovery, but pain relief in regards to tight hips/lower back! Highly recommend. Due to the shape of the gun, as opposed to some competitors I’ve used (ie. Theragun) it’s very easy to use, and there is no awkward grip/handling which really makes the process feel very natural, and capable of being used one-handed if needed, however I prefer to use 2 hands for added pressure.

Pricey But So Worth It
|Posted .The Hyperice - Hypervolt Plus (Bluetooth) Percussion Massage Device in black is a very nice and powerful massaging machine. This high-end is aesthetically pleasing with a very sleek design, a nice matte black finish, and is made out of a very strong and ergonomic rubber. You can tell this is well built just by how heavy it feels in your hand. So, the power button, with an on and off position, is on the bottom of the handle along with the charging port. On the back of the massaging head, by the vent, is the speed button, which has 3 options. The lights below that, on the bottom part of the vent, are the battery level which light up well that contrast with the matte black finish. As you can see in the picture titled, "Charging the Machine", there is a solid green lit area around the handle that lets you know that it is fully charged, as well as, the lights on that vent. In fact, the light will turn red, to the right of the battery level lights, when the machine needs to be recharged. In my case, the machine was fully charged because when I plugged it in the solid green light came on immediately. The machine comes with 5 heads which you can change out and use for different areas of the body, as well as, the amount of concentration you require for the massage. So, I live on many acres and my work out involves a lot of maintenance of my yard and in the garden, including the lifting of heavy buckets of rocks and mulch. I used this massager on achy muscles and even used it on an injured toe and bottom pad of my right foot. I thought the toe my have been broken a while back and that I had a possible contracture, but I used the bullet looking attachment on the toe and the balloon attachment on the underside pad of my foot and it has felt wonderful after about 2 daily consecutive treatments. So, my point is that not only is this deep tissue massager recommended or initially produced for athletes to recover quicker from their workouts, it is marvelous, too, for older people that might either have had a trauma and a related injury or perhaps some sort of affects from arthritis that can use this for their well-being and health also. We happen to have a full gym in our basement and to that end, my son, who is a lifter, also used this machine and he stated that this really helps him with his post workout muscle soreness, as well as, the delayed onset of muscle soreness that he get's the next day, especially on leg days. I feel that this massager will come in very handy for all sorts of people and whatever their issues might be which then makes the cost of this machine more attractive since it will provide a real service for a multitude of age groups. The app downloads quick and is easily set up. The only problem that I had occurred in the registering of the product. When registering, their system required that I you show actual proof of purchase with either an actual picture of the serial number or file for proof of purchase, but seems to not allow pictures directly taken from the phone, why is this happening, is this a programming error to. Even though it gives you that option. The machine'e Bluetooth easily connected to my phone and then the app recognizes what body part is being massaged and then it shows you routines that are available for that body part, however, it does not control the machine, it shows you how and what. This routine that is used is then recorded by the app. When registering, name, address, and proof of ownership were required with an email acknowledging the registration sent. As it turns out, I wound up calling their customer service which since they are located in California is 9-5 PST, M-F. So I am central time and had to wait until 11 am to try to get someone. Bottom line, I tried calling various times of their day, but still had to leave a message because their answering machine does not let you stay on the line for very long and automatically either requires you to leave a message for a future callback or just hangs up on you. They did call back within a few hours and I mentioned that to the lady that called me that no matter what time of day that I called no one came on the line before the system truncated the call. She apologized and said that they were working from home due to COVID and would advise the powers that be about this. I inquired about 2 things, when they might have an android app available so that more of the population would be able to fully use this and she said that they were working on it and that it might be available by year end or into 2021. Second, I asked about the solid green light around the handle, that means fully charged versus a blinking green light which means charge. I never had the blinking light. She did tell me that the user should not let the battery go below the 2 green lights before starting recharging, do not let it fully and completely discharge its charge. Over all, the machine works excellently and I definitely would recommend it.

Serious Massager - not for the timid
|Posted .The first thing I noticed when I received the Message Device is how heavy duty this thing is. The device comes with a set of different message heads, for different levels of intensity and different muscle groups. There is also an associated app that you can use, which shows you different recommended techniques to use and will auto-set the intensity when using their guided workout. The main benefits of this device is how powerful and stable it is. The device gives a very powerful message and is fairly quiet. The device feels very stable when in use. My main issue with the device is that it may be too powerful for its own good. I wish that there might be one or two intensity levels that are a little lower than its lowest. I wouldn't recommend it for average people, and is best suited for serious athletes.

Q: QuestionWhat the differences between this and the regular version?
Asked by Ziken.
- A:Answer The Hypervolt Plus has a more powerful motor than the regular version. One downside of this though is the decline in battery duration. The original Hypervolt lasts a bit longer than the Plus.....in my testing about 32mins longer. Not a big deal for me personally. I still managed to get 2hrs and 12mins with the Hypervolt Plus. Happy massaging!

Q: QuestionDoes it matter where I buy it from, will hyperice still guarantee its product?
Asked by Grace.
- A:Answer Yes, it definitely matters! As i am now learning the hard way. My Hypervolt Plus started malfunctioning within the first month of usage. I tried contacting them to make a warranty claim and was told that since i didn't purchase it directly from them, they could not send me a replacement unit! All they could offer me was to have the unit repaired if I send it in to them. A lengthy and really inconvenient process, and totally unacceptable when a company wont stand by such a pricey product when it fails in only a few short weeks. If you're still intending on trying it, i highly recommend buying it directly from their site to avoid the headache I'm currently dealing with.

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between the Hypervolt plus and the Hypervolt plus with Blue tooth? What is the benefit of bluetooth?
Asked by bodyworker.
- A:Answer nothing. i have the plus w/ bluetooth. all it does is allows you to connect to the app and let the phone control it. I personally know how i wanna use it and dont need that kind of guidance. I think everyone eventually knows how they wanna use it and will stop using the bluetooth feature.

Q: QuestionI have a very stiff neck. Can this be used for the neck if I’m doing it myself? In other words, how easy is it to use by yourself on the neck area and back. I would think my arms would get tired out easily, at that angle. Any thoughts?
Asked by Badneck.
- A:Answer Hi there! Yes, you can use the Hypervolt plus on yourself. The hand may get tired if done for an extended period. We would suggest taking breaks in between.
