iHealth - M2 iBaby Monitor

The M2 iBaby monitor allows me to view the nursery from my iphone. It also allows me to hear and respond from my iphone or ipad.

I knew I wanted a baby monitor to keep an eye on my precious one while I was in other parts of the house, but now I can check on him even when I'm not at home! The grandparents can even look in from time to time. They LOVE it!!!!

This is a MUST HAVE product for all parents. It’s the most convenient baby monitor system I have seen or used. It is so easy to set up, in just a few simple steps you can watch your baby sleep from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch – no extra piece of equipment to carry around and worry about charging or losing. Another great thing about this is I can set up multiple users so more than one person can watch my baby from anywhere. This monitor sends sound and motion alerts so if my baby rolls over or cries I will be notified with an alert to my synced device. Not only that, the camera automatically snaps and saves a picture whenever the motion is sensed so I can see what my baby was doing. With the 2-way audio if my baby is crying I can start to comfort her from another room while I am heading to the nursery. If you have a baby or one on the way I highly recommend this product. You just can’t beat the convenience or simplicity of this product. You won’t be disappointed.

Buy something else. I really wanted this to be a good product but after 2 hours of testing it has to go back. App has numerous bugs that will cause it to get stuck in a non-functional state with a spinning animation to indicate it is "processing." Video quality is bad even at the highest setting. Video for all settings is delayed, and choppy. I am not 100% certain but I believe the poor image quality is due to the fact that they are sending your image through the internet to a 3rd party server, then from the server back to you device. FaceTime, Skype, etc literally put this product to shame. Communication through the camera speaker sounds muffled and is significantly delayed. Listening to the room through the devices microphone is better, and less delayed but is not acceptable for a device that cost $160. Packaging and marketing materials make this item feel like a quality product. However terrible execution on the core product make this a device I am sure many other will buy and return. Let me also clarify that signal strength or lack of bandwidth are not issues in my household.
