I am an Al Stewart fan; have been since "Past, Present, and Future" came out in 1973. Took me awhile to locate these early releases the first time round, and those original LPs are, alas, long gone. For me, a repurchase totally made sense. That is not to say that EVERYONE needs to listen to Al's first three. They're good, no question, but they represent a younger, more folksy, more acoustic Al Stewart than you may be used to. Maybe a bit more naïve, too -- but hey, everyone was young and naïve and one point. You gotta start somewhere.
