A: 1 - Yes, you can charge this wirelessly while it's on the phone. 2 - My experience with this charger is that both the phone and the external battery charge at the same time if they're connected while charging. It's a pretty smart system that works really well.
A: It is only a battery, it is rubberized, so it offers some grip, but no protection. I haven't found a case, but there is a company that makes bumpers, that will work with the mods, I think it was actually Incipio, try their website.
