Q: The tv is a fire or roku tv
A: This is not a smart TV, but you can add a Roku or Fire TV stick/cube if you want. The benefit of getting a "dumb" TV is that you will not be subject to advertisements, etc. that plague smart TVs. When a "smart" TV starts to become too slow to run the newest version of the Roku/Fire TV interface, you are just stuck with a slow TV. When your Roku/Fire stick does the same, you just replace that one, inexpensive part and you don't need a new TV to enjoy that upgrade.
Q: Does this tv support hdmi-cec?
A: Yes, but only through the HDMI 1 port.
A: I suspect your TV is defective. Take it back to Best Buy and get a new unit. It’s not a high end TV but I don’t have any Fog or Color issues. It’s not a $700 Samsung but mine is clean and watchable with my Roku box.
A: Yes. I have mine plugged into a power strip and the TV turns back on automatically when power is turned on.
A: I purchased an open box item that arrived with a cracked screen Best buy would not return it because I did not have an accidental protection plan. You're welcome to have the remote to TV is useless for the cracked screen
A: Yes just connect your Xfinity or other provider's cable box using an HDMI cable and switch the tv input source to the correct input and that's all. Hope this helps!!
Q: Is the TV remote "backlit" ..
A: No. The power, volume, and channel buttons glow in the dark
