      Check your expectations- totally passable!

This, for the price, is a fantastic mouse. Keep your expectations in check and you'll be pleasantly surprised! Is this an Apple Magicmouse? No. Is this a super cheap alternative that pairs easily to wireless device for convenient UI interaction? TOTALLY. I'm using this on a Google Pixelbook to navigate easily from a desk and I've been delighted with it's size (easily portable- throw it in your laptop bag and you're good to go), it's form factor, and it's price point. It doesn't feel overly cheap despite the removable top portion being entirely one piece plastic. The top portion lifts off for your batteries (included, btw), while the bottom piece (also plastic) has really nice mouse sliding pads that feel responsive and smooth on a mousepad. The mouse tracks reasonably well and I've had no misclicks. There's a single pairing button on the bottom that you need to hold in to initiate pairing mode as well as a sliding switch to turn the mouse on and off. The mouse wheel is the achilles heel of this device. It is awkwardly shaped, wonky as it clicks through the scroll motion, and is a little slow. Beyond that- I have NO problem recommending this to anybody looking for a cheap Magicmouse lookalike. Pick one up and try for yourself. I think it's tremendous value.

A little latency can be a frustrating distraction

I've used wireless mice (on my Wacom tablet) and USB versions for both Macs and PCs. The opportunity (the price was right) to enter the Bluetooth market was attractive. PROS Off the top, it is full-sized and very low profile with EXCELLENT action on both buttons. The wheel click is good and not easily clicked by accident. Connecting to Bluetooth is simple and the device is easily found and connected. CONS Very light-weight which means it can kinda "vanish" in your hand. It has an annoyingly infrequent habit of loosing the connection from time to time but mostly you'll notice a latency that makes you move the mouse to see if it's still responding when all you should have done was pause your mouse movement. Conclusion Inexpensive does not always mean cheap and this mouse is a good deal for those struggling with their vanishing USB ports, but if you are used to a wired mouse or a pad-based (like Wacom's) the latency and weight is going to feel a little cheap. Tested on Lenovo Yoga 2 Ultrabook and Microsoft Surface Pro 3.

Great Alternative for the Apple Magi Mouse

I had been needing to replace my magic mouse for my iMac as it had been giving me problems but I didn't want to pay the $80 for the apple one. I happened to see this at BestBuy while browsing and picked it up to try it out with the intentions of returning it if it didn't meet expectations. This mouse has well surpassed any expectation I had. Some reviewers say it feels flimsy and like it's going to break. Have any of you held an apple mouse? The Insignia mouse feels much more solid and durable to me, plus the design to allow the top to come off to replace batteries is better than Apple's. Overall I enjoy this mouse better than the apple magic mouse and WAY better than the wired mouse that they sell. It doesn't have the multitouch features but I for one find the multi-touch to get in the way more often than I actually use it. This track wheel on this mouse scrolls up and down and can do side-scrolling when track wheel is pressed.

Picked this lil guy up in-store, mainly as it was sitting next to the Logitech Ultrathin, which they didn't have in stock for Macs. *Sadface* It's pretty good for what it is - a cheaper alternative to the magic mouse with similar aesthetic appeal, however a bit more on the 'flimsy' side. Connected to my Macbook Pro fairly easily, and only takes about a second to be detected upon booting up. The scroll wheel isn't terribly amazing, but since I'm using it in addition to my touchpad it's not a huge deal; probably wouldn't recommend it as being the sole method for navigating yer UI.

Not bad for a cheap blutooth mouse

Not bad for a cheap blutooth mouse, but considering that it is pretty obviously attempting to look like an apple magic mouse it is invariably going to be compared to one. And in this comparison the insignia comes out far on the losing end of the battle. Movement is smooth, batteries are replaceable, it clicks when I want it to, but the scroll wheel is pretty much useless, and multi touch is non existent. Depending on how much of a sale this item is on it may or not be worth it. I would not pay $40 though.

The mouse is clunky. Right handed users will constantly hear a clicking noise, but no action takes place. You have to click more than once a lot to use this mouse. It was easy to install on a Win10 OS, however using the mouse causes you to have to do more work than using other mice. A lot of times you feel like you are using the left click function only to have the right click option pop up. After two days of using this mouse I am left frustrated and will be returning it.

I use this mouse with my Macbook Pro and I love the low profile and fast tracking. It minimizes the amount that I have to move my hand while working. Note: The batteries last for about 5-6 months and I use the mouse 8 hours/day, 5 days/week. When the batteries start to die, the bluetooth connection becomes unreliable. That's when you know it's time to change them out.

I was looking for an alternative option to Apple’s Magic Mouse and was glad that I found this one. The Bluetooth was easy to setup. The only complaint I have is that the on/off switch was colored the opposite way with red for “on” and green for “off”. If you use the words as your guide, you’ll be fine. It is a much lighter weight material than the apple mouse which could either be good/bad for people.
