Q: Does Netflix work on this device?
A: I gave this tablet premature good review but there's one thing that happened that made me return it and spend a few extra bucks on the Lenovo Tab 2 a850 ....insignia tablets is android version 5.0.1 which you won't see in most android devices..most updated to 5.0.2..because of the WiFi bug that the first lollipop version has...insignia agreed but there is no available update that's why I returned it twice 2 different tablets...sam model...so to answer your question...the buffering or loading is an effect of the lollipop connectivity bug....Google it.... Hopefully you put the protection plan on it so u can get another model
Q: what movie formats can this play?
A: MP4 will play natively on this tablet. However other formats can be played by using VLC for Android. I had some AVI files that would not play natively on the tablet but once I downloaded and installed the VLC app I was able to play them fine.
Q: Where can I find the Windows driver?
A: The short answer is it doesn't exist. I bought this one to use for development and returned it for this very reason. Insignia doesn't provide the USB driver for development. They only provided support for the standard Android interfaces of content transfer. Insignia did point me to a driver for the actual chip platform, RockChip, but I didn't have any success with it.
Q: Does this tablet have a SIM card or take SIM card?
A: Yes, this tablet has a microSD card slot which can handle up to a 32GB microSDHC card. You do have to purchase the SD card separately.
Q: Can you move apps from internal storage to the SD card?
A: Yes you can move apps to the SD card, but the tablet does not get to decide which apps are movable. The app developers and Google decide what apps you can move.
Q: Can you use this as a phone?
A: The Insignia Flex 8 Tablet does not support cellular service, so you can't make cellular calls. You can download an app and made calls using wifi.
