Q: When is this Core i9 10920X HEDT CPU going to be available for purchase? Also can you pre-order?
A: Actually Newegg got a few in last week & I managed to snag one before they sold out in about an hour. As of this writing, unlike their Core i9 sibling 10, 14, and 18 core Cascade Lake counterparts, they do still have the auto notify via email on the 10920X, and the price is listed at $749 as well. So I expect they'll get more in soon. As for Next Warehouse, yes I saw that too, but I read some really horrible reviews &/or customer service for that vendor/site, so I avoided checking after that. Inaccurate stock or poor availability turned me off, B&H Photo sent me email recently & they still don't have in stock, but will continue to notify every 2 weeks. I'd trust them over Next as they've got good reviews and have been around a while. I suspect Best Buy won't get any for retail sales until well after the New Year, possibly even into 2nd quarter 2020. I also understand AMD's 16-core Ryzen 3950X they just released is in the same high demand & low supply as well, and from what I read, it's NOT expected to be in any major online or retail vendors shelves until likely Feb or early March. Like the Core i9-10920X, It is slso a $750 processor. I'm glad I was able to get a new 12 core Cascade Lake Core i9 when I did. My new CPU should arrive from Newegg in the next day or two.
