This hard drive is a durable handy portable drive which is why I purchased it for school. I was taking out stuff from my bag that I asked for the other day and accidently dropped it down from a height of approx 4 feet. Thanks to the drop-guard feature my drive is absolutely fine. Software setup was quite easy and the transfer of files was quick due to the USB 3.0. If this drive is like the other hard-drives I have bought from Iomega than this drive will last a long long time.

Nice Device for Older Notebooks

Good price ($80) for reasonable amount of space to use as backup of six year old notebook. I didn't want to spend a lot of money and I wanted something very compact. If my computer were newer or if I wanted a network device, I'd have gotten 2TB. But neither of those conditions exist. The device is practically silent. It works without getting in my way at all. The software is reasonably robust and quite simple. I'm very satisfied with the purchase.

I have absolutely no issues or problems with this harddrive thus far. It has remarkable speed and although I chose not to install the backup software for automatic backup of files, it still works flawless. I admire that option to choose, not to install software that I really have no need for. It's small, compact and shockproof design is everything I wanted in a portable external drive.

Bought this to replace a WD 1T external hard drive. So much easier to install and use than WD. Easy to schedule back ups. Back ups start promptly. Easy to retrieve data when/ if needed. Small compact. For the dollars this External hard drive beats anything that I've researched. Recommended by a friend. Great performance.
